The Houston childhood home of Beyoncé caught fire on Christmas morning. Reports from KHOU 11, CW 39 Houston, and Fox 26 Houston state that the incident happened at the Rosedale St. home on Monday at around two in the morning.
Thankfully, Houston Fire Department (HFD) Chief Justin Barnes told KHOU 11 that the couple and their two kids who were living in the house were able to leave safely before emergency personnel arrived. No injuries were reported.
As soon as firefighters were dispatched, they found that the house’s second story was where the flames were coming from. It took the firefighters ten minutes or so to put out the fire, using techniques like cutting the roof to stop it from spreading.

Inside Beyoncé and Solange Knowles’s relationship
Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, like many other well-known individuals, have encountered both the benefits and drawbacks of being well-known.
Beyoncé was born on September 4, 1981, and her younger sister Tina—who was practically five years old when she was born—was the natural best friend of Mathew Knowles. The sisters, who were both born in Houston, Texas, showed early indications of their potential for stardom.
Even after pursuing independent careers and starting their own families, the sisters remained steadfast sources of support for one another. While Beyoncé was first gaining popularity, Solange established herself and received positive reviews for her album “A Seat at the Table.”
They have celebrated each other’s victories and been each other’s steadfast support systems over the years. Saying, “I’m your biggest fan, and I’m super proud of you,” Solange conveyed her admiration and pride for her sister in a 2017 interview for Interview magazine. You always seemed to know what you wanted, so I remember thinking, ‘My little sister is going to be something super special.'”
And Solange only had kind things to say about her older sister. She conveyed her feelings in the same interview, saying, “You were the most wonderful, kind, and patient sister I have ever known. I believe that in our thirty years of dating, we have only really, like, butted heads a few times, probably counting on one hand.”

Both Beyoncé and Solange are successful solo artists.
With the release of her album “Dangerously in Love” in 2003, Beyoncé began her solo career after a successful time as a member of Destiny’s Child. The album debuted at the top of worldwide charts and won praise from critics.
Seven studio albums, five live albums, and one soundtrack album for the live-action Lion King adaptation have been released by the “Halo” singer since then. Beyoncé broke the record for most Grammy Awards ever won by an artist in February 2023 when she won her 32nd award for the 2022 album “Renaissance.”
She conveyed her appreciation during her acceptance speech by saying, “Thank you so much. I’m attempting to control my emotions. This evening, I’m attempting to just receive. I give thanks to God for keeping me safe. I’m grateful, God.” Besides acting, Beyoncé has dabbled in other creative endeavors. She co-wrote the soundtrack for the 2006 film “Dreamgirls,” collaborated with Adidas on the athleisure brand Ivy Park, and voiced Nala in The Lion King.
Solange highlighted how proud she was of her sister in a 2016 interview with The Fader, highlighting how Beyoncé’s album “Lemonade” empowered Black women.
