When Camille turned 15, Maximilien the Fourth and his supportive nobles, including Marquees Lafayette, heard from Sigurd the Third that Calestine had a miscarriage due to emotional distress, and that’s how the incident came to an end on the surface. But Camille was not going to fall for such a cheap lie.
After he cleared his heart from brainwashing, he found out about everything after many years, and he was certain that Calestine was still in their kingdom. He became sure that her child was alive too and used Marquees Lafayette’s privileges to further investigate, finally tracking down the location of the two of them.
So he went out to Maquees Lafayatees and offered him the king’s blood. He told him that he had already remembered his connection to the Lagrange family. Camille also told him that he already knew that Maquees was brainwashing his wife, Gregory, and his servants.
But he also used his relationship with his son to grow closer to him. He mentioned his wrongdoings just to intimidate him and then pretended to forgive him for making it seem like he was on his side.
Camille eventually began to make him feel like he could trust him, but he did all that just to get near Julia. However, his plan got disrupted when Sigurd the Third fell ill, and someone accidentally found the letters he exchanged with Calestine.
