Better Call Saul, as you may know, is the successful spin-off from The Breaking Bad series that airs on AMC. Breaking Bad was a smash hit show that won several Emmys and did an amazing business on AMC, it ended in 2013. And since then we got a spin-off starring Saul Goodman, the lawyer from Breaking Bad. For now, Better Call Saul is in its Season 4, but fans can’t hold their horses on this one. They are thinking about a Season 5 already! God knows what executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have in mind for Jimmy McGill.
Now you must know that Season 5 to Better Call Saul got a green light even before Season 4 premiered. Here’s all that could happen in the plot of Season 5 of Better Call Saul. It increasingly tends to look like Breaking Bad now.
Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad Style Twists?
Season 4 synopsis of Better Call Saul has a lot in store for Mike. Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) is going to take an active part as Madrigal Electromotive’s security consultant. The official synopsis goes something like:
“Mike Ehrmantraut takes a more active role as Madrigal Electromotive’s newest (and most thorough) security consultant. It’s a volatile time to be in Gus Fring’s employ, as Hector’s collapse sends shock waves throughout the Albuquerque underworld and throws the cartel into chaos — tearing apart both Gus and Nacho’s well-laid plans.”
You may know from the show that in order to be hand in glove with Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), Mike still has Miles to go. Gus and Mike’s relationship will explore a new way of breaking bad stylised trajectory in Season 5. This could bring them closer to their bad breaking timelines. And eventually, Season 5 will tie all the loose knots of the Breaking Bad timeline.
In Season 4 we saw Chuck McGill’s (played by Michael McKean) die. His death started Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) transformation into Saul Goodman. Saul now has stepped into the criminal world. His law career, his reputation, all of it is at stake now. Besides Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) his Girlfriend doesn’t look content with him. So it could mean that they both are looking to end things now or eventually are headed down that road only.
