The spotlight includes highly anticipated releases such as DELTARUNE Chapter 5, the latest expansion of the parallel story connected to UNDERTALE, alongside new experiences like Big Walk, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, Escape the Backrooms, and Denshattack!. These games showcase the creativity and variety often associated with the indie gaming scene.

Nintendo’s latest showcase also revealed upcoming titles heading to the platforms, including Lou’s Lagoon, Trine 6: Together in Time, and Order of the Sinking Star, expanding the selection of indie adventures planned for the future.

Nintendo Switch 2 Indie Games Include RPGs, Horror and Unique Adventures

One of the biggest highlights in Nintendo’s indie lineup is DELTARUNE Chapter 5 from 8-4, the newest chapter in the parallel story to UNDERTALE. Players continue the journey of Susie and Ralsei as they attempt to seal Dark Fountains threatening their world. The RPG continues to offer players the choice between fighting enemies or sparing them while exploring a story filled with memorable characters.

Another major addition is Big Walk from House House, the studio behind Untitled Goose Game. The cooperative multiplayer adventure focuses on teamwork, communication, and exploration as players navigate a large open world filled with puzzles and challenges. The game encourages friends to experiment with different ways to interact, while also allowing them to simply relax and enjoy the environment together.

For players looking for a relaxing experience, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit from Spry Fox offers a new life-simulation adventure. The follow-up introduces a fresh cast of characters, new animal companions, and a different setting while maintaining the series’ watercolor-inspired visual style. Players can spend their time crafting, decorating, fishing, cooking, and completing quests on their personalized island.

Nintendo is also bringing horror fans Escape the Backrooms from Blackbird Interactive, an atmospheric multiplayer survival experience inspired by popular creepypasta lore. The game allows up to four players to explore more than 30 mysterious levels filled with dangerous entities. Cooperation is essential as players attempt to survive the unsettling maze-like environments.

Meanwhile, Denshattack! from Fireshine Games delivers a completely different experience by combining extreme sports gameplay with a gravity-defying train adventure. Set in a colorful dystopian version of Japan, players control a custom train while performing tricks and battling against the powerful Miraidō corporation.

Upcoming Indie Games Arriving on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo also confirmed several indie games scheduled for future releases. Lou’s Lagoon from Tiny Roar arrives on August 27, inviting players to explore tropical islands while rebuilding Uncle Lou’s seaplane delivery service and uncovering the mystery behind his disappearance.

Trine 6: Together in Time from Frozenbyte is coming on September 17 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The cooperative puzzle platformer allows up to four players to solve challenges, battle enemies, and explore the fantasy world of Trine.

Looking ahead to 2026, Order of the Sinking Star from Thekla, Inc. will bring a massive puzzle adventure featuring more than 1,000 handcrafted puzzles, unique playable heroes, evolving mechanics, and a mystery-driven storyline.

With a mix of genres and creative gameplay concepts, Nintendo’s latest indie lineup highlights the growing variety of experiences available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
