Eris was planning to kill Roxy in the previous episode. Viewers are curious to find out if Fate will be able to stop Eris in Berserk of Gluttony Episode 9.
Roxy, Mugan and Miria arrived at the castle. Roxy informed Miria that it was the seat of the Barbatos lands in Hausen. She recalled that Sir Aaron used to live there, and Miria was curious about the new owner of the castle.
Roxy informed her that a lich-lord-crowned beast had taken over the castle. After looking at the castle from a distance, Miria realized that the castle was busted up.
But they could not sense the presence of the monster anywhere near their proximity. Mugan believed that it must have been liberated. Aaron welcomed Roxy and everybody else to Hausen and introduced himself to them. Miria was shocked that Aaron still had not retired.
Mugan greeted Aaron and mentioned that it was an honor for him. Because he never thought he would ever get a chance to meet Aaron in person.
Mugan explained that the head of the Barbatos family was one of the five great estates and the expert swordsman was called the blade of light.
Roxy apologized to Aaron for their sudden intrusion. Aaron told her she had grown up a lot since the last time he saw her. Roxy was surprised that Aaron knew her.
Aaron explained that he was an old acquaintance of Mason and Aisha. Aaron told her they told him to name her when she was born.
Roxy could not believe that’s what happened in the past. Since her parents never mentioned that to her, Mugan told Roxy he was jealous of her because she was named a hero.

Aaron told them he was a former hero since he had already retired. Mostly because he was devastated by the loss of his people that he failed to protect.
So Aaron believed that he did not have a reason to fight anymore. Roxy mentioned to Aaron that he must have disposed of the lich lord.
Aaron told her he did not do that on his own. He explained that that was only possible because someone fought by his side. Mugan told him that even if they were fighting together, he believed that guy must have been a talented warrior to slay a crowded beast.
Miria showed her excitement to meet the guy, and Aaron told her that the guy had already left. Roxy asked Aaron if he could tell them his name.
Because she had to report to the capital how the lich lord was driven from Hausen. Aaron told her he could not do that because Fate had requested that he not reveal his identity.
Aaron apologized to Roxy because he had to keep Fate’s request. Roxy apologized to Aaron for intruding on his business. Aaron asked her if she was heading to Galia, and Roxy was surprised at how much Aaron knew about her destination.
Since she never mentioned it. Aaron told her that’s because he already knew the reason why a young holy knight would come to Hausen.
Aaron asked her if the valericks sent her to Hausen, and Roxy told him she volunteered for it. Aaron told her she was manipulated into doing it he mentioned that the Harts and the Barbaoses had always been annoyances.
Roxy told him that did not matter because he was ready to protect the people. Roxy explained that she had inherited her father’s ideals.
Aaron was shocked that Mason had passed away. He asked Roxy if she would accept his instructions. He was ready to teach her to fight in Galia.
