Michael Chandler, a lightweight fighter in the UFC, recently appeared on Raw in the front row. Samantha Irwin gave him a ceremonial introduction before Chandler took the stage and called Conor McGregor to the Octagon.
This went viral, indicating that it was the start of a possible crossover between the UFC and WWE following their merger under TKO Group Holdings.
There were various predictions whether they could see any additional UFC stars coming to WWE. In a recent interview, Becky Lynch hinted that Conor McGregor, an Irishman and one of the greatest stars in the UFC, would make an appearance in the WWE.
Becky Lynch on Conor McGregor’s possible WWE joining
Following the Elimination Chamber 2024 Press Event, Becky Lynch spoke with Submission Radio in an interview wherein The Man was questioned about Michael Chandler’s Raw promo that included Conor McGregor. Lynch claimed not to be aware of it.
When Lynch saw the trailer, he responded, “Yeah! Now go fight and have a scrap. According to Lynch, there is a 75% chance that McGregor and Chandler will fight. Lynch was questioned about the possibility of seeing Conor McGregor and Becky Lynch perform a promo together and against Chandler in a later WWE show.
Becky responded, “Yeah! Indeed, we would make a formidable team. Extremely mouthy—I like that—it would be really mouthy. When questioned about his interview and promotional abilities, Becky stated, “I think he’s inspired by the WWE.”
Next, she was questioned about McGregor’s potential to join WWE. “I think it’s very possible,” Becky remarked. It seems pretty likely to me. I believe the one thing that could prevent him from… I believe he might find it challenging because he is an Irish resident.
But occasionally, he might light a match. Kevin Owens, who had a great time in the interview and sarcastically ridiculed Logan Paul and Elimination Chamber—part-timers who occasionally show up in the company—joined The Man.
