The story of Battle Through The Heavens follows Xiao Yan, who is the son of Xiao Zhan and Gu Wenxin. In the story, we find out that when Xian Yan was still young, his mother was killed by one of their enemies, and in addition to that, his father never ever talked about it in his entire life.
Later in the story, we see that when he was fifteen years old, his martial arts had not made any kind of progress even when he tried his level best to do it; this was because of his mother’s ring, which has a tendency to absorb all of his progress.

Later in the story, we see that after getting enough strength and abilities, Xiao Yan enrolls in the Jianan Academy and also makes many new friends there. After all this, later, when Xiao Yan is framed and narrowly escapes, our guy finds out that both of his parents have been doomed.
