Joo Young-ha’s thriller K-drama, Battle For Happiness, will be returning with an exciting episode this week. Song Jung-ah’s evil plan is turning out to be a failure, as she’s the one caught up in the mess now. As for Jang Mi Ho, unfortunately, she is summoned by the detectives on a murder conspiracy case that seems to have something to do with Oh Yu-jin and Jung-ah.
First seen on South Korean television on May 31st, 2023, Battle For Happiness is a one-of-a-kind suspense series that centers around high-profile mothers that take up any chance to degrade and defame each other. These dramatic battles get more intense and dangerous after the unexpected death of Oh Yu-jin, one of the group members, causing them to suspect each other of the horrific crime.
Battle For Happiness’ cast members include skilled actors such as Lee El in the role of Jang Mi Ho, Jin Seo-yeon stars as Song Jung-ah, Cha Ye Ryun plays the role of Kim Na-young, while Park Hyo-Joo stars in the role of Oh Yu-jin and Woo Jung-won plays the role of Hwang Ji-ye. Lee El has also been a part of well-known shows like My Liberation Notes, Goblin, and Monster.
Battle For Happiness Episode 8: Recap
In Episode 8, we see Jang Mi Ho’s promotion being dismissed after a complaint is sent to the office anonymously. The letter inside it reveals that the murder victim A and Jang Mi Ho were step sisters and that to hide this fact, Mi Ho even went as far as seducing her stepfather and forcing A to commit suicide. Jang Mi Ho shows up at the office and tries to convince everyone that this is a false accusation.
When her nieces want to play with So-won, Jang Mi Ho calls Hwang Ji-ye, only to find out that she is trying to avoid her. Song Jung-ah reveals the fact that she knew Hwang Ji-ye sent a message to Jang Mi Ho asking for the USB. We see a flashback of all the times Hwang Ji-ye acted suspiciously in front of Jang Mi Ho and the others. After returning from the park, Jang Mi Ho is confronted by her neighbor, who had been troubled because of the noise her nieces were making.
The neighbor later attacks Jang Mi Ho while she’s home alone. She eventually finds out that the man is not her neighbor and is related to Jung Ah. Kim Na Young shows up at Jang Mi Ho’s house and offers to be friends so that they can fight against Song Jung-ah. In exchange for her friendship, Kim Na Young wants her husband’s pictures to be removed from the USB. Song Jung Ah convinces Gong Chang-hyun to set Jang Mi Ho’s house on fire after placing the pictures on her doorstep.
The day of the Herenity’s Night event arrives, and Song Jung-ah proposes the new idea she had come up with in the Parent Advisory Committee. Jang Mi Ho arrives with evidence suggesting that someone had tried to ruin her reputation by creating fake scenarios and posting them online. She confronts Song Jung Ah about the fake account she had created for Kim Sang-won and uses it to defame her. Song Jung Ah meets up with her brother and finds out that he has gotten involved in drugs which led to an accident that could threaten her business.

Battle For Happiness Episode 9 will be coming out on June 28th, 2023. All new dramatic episodes of Battle For Happiness are released on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with each episode lasting for around 56-60 minutes. In the upcoming episode 9, we’ll be seeing Jang Mi Ho be interrogated for a murder conspiracy.
