The first episode of the anime came out this week. Fans of Araki Joh’s Bartender manga were really excited about it because it gives a fresh spin to the classic series.
Bartender is a manga written by Araki Joh and illustrated by Kenji Nagatomo. It’s about Ryu Sasakura, who is a brilliant bartender. He helps people with their problems and comforts them with his drinks.
Bartender follows Ryu Sasakura’s nightlife adventures. He’s a bartending genius known for making the most delicious cocktails ever.
After studying in France, Ryu starts as an assistant bartender at Lapin bar. He opens his own spot, Eden Hall, tucked away in a corner of Tokyo’s Ginza district.
There’s a rumor that you can’t just stumble upon Eden Hall. You have to be invited in by the host. Sasakura is famous for serving the Glass of the Gods. It means he always knows the perfect drink for any situation.
Recap
In the first episode of the Bartender: Glass of God anime, we meet Ryu Sasakura, a super-smart bartender.
He’s an important character in a test for bartenders at Hotel Cardinal. The test showed that none of the candidates were up to scratch, so they all got disqualified.
Miwa Kurushima and Yukari Higuchi, who work in the Business Planning Division, were feeling pretty frustrated with their search.
But then, by chance, they bumped into Ryu Sasakura in the park. He seemed a bit absent-minded. At first, they didn’t pay much attention to him, but later they found out he was actually a bartender himself.
Even so, they weren’t sure about asking him to take the bartender test for their hotel. Then, surprisingly, they ran into Sasakura for a third time at Eden Hall, a bar that had a great reputation online.
When they entered the bar and saw Sasakura was the only bartender, they noticed a big change in him. He seemed much more confident, and his cocktail-making skills were really impressive to watch.
Kurushima and Higuchi were blown away by Sasakura’s skills and his knack for making amazing cocktails. They were spellbound by his wisdom as a bartender and his dedication to making sure customers had the perfect drink.
They suggested Sasakura as a candidate for their hotel, but the Division Chief still wasn’t sure.
However, Kurushima and Higuchi were determined to get him on board because he had already met all the requirements for the bartender job at Hotel Cardinal. And that’s how the first episode ended.
Expectation
In episode 2 of Bartender: Glass of God, we’ll see Ryu Sasakura being asked by Kurushima and Higuchi to join their hotel as a bartender. Fans can look forward to more exciting twists for Ryu Sasakura and his journey at Eden Hall in the next episode.
