The premium dog daycare facility is ready to air yet another episode of its second season. With the cutest puppies and dogs returning earlier this month, there’s much more delightful drama that awaits viewers this season. Barkley Manor was first seen on television on October 18th, 2021. The show captured everyday moments at one of the most luxurious and well-caring facilities for dogs from Auckland, New Zealand.
Although the series is simple, its minimal and peaceful setting is what attracts most of its viewers. After all, what’s more, fascinating than to watch all kinds of different pets coming together, creating friendships, falling into cute drama and just being themselves? Not to mention, at the Barkley Manor, each dog is assorted into their own houses, just like Harry Potter.
From the dog’s trip to Country Parklands to Portia’s royal treatment, the last season had quite the stories to feature about Barkley Manor. Not only is the show known for its interesting pets and their owners, but the show is also responsible for showcasing some of the most beautiful sceneries from North Island in New Zealand.
It premiered on TVNZ and although the streaming platform hosts a variety of pet shows, they’re not as specialized as Barkley Manor in providing the unseen dog and their fun owner drama. It was no surprise that the show was renewed for another season right after the first one had ended. The second season of Barkley Manor has been airing since February 14th, 2023.
The previous season began with Kritsa offering to help a rescue dog through a nervous breakdown while Sarah helped the Schnoodles by coming up with a new song for them. At the nursery, Daisy has been crowned the princess. Frank was starting to get better and when the crew performed a DNA test on him, they were able to make surprising discoveries.
Season 1 of Barkley Manor had many fun moments such as the Woof Dog Show and the trip, but it was also filled with heartwarming moments like Nina finally finding a home and Max’s Birthday.
Barkley Manor Season 2: What’s New?
We’ll be seeing new members at the Manor! With more dogs, there are going to be many new friendships forming between them, perhaps even a new friendly rivalry. As always, the team behind Barkley Manor will be doing their best to make sure that the dogs receive the highest quality treatment and love while there. Just like all royals, these dogs will be undergoing training to not only be more royal-like but also to perform fascinating tricks.
Barkley Manor will be casting Martin Clunes as its narrator, that’ll deliver the humorous commentary whenever needed. While some new doggies arrive at the daycare’s preschool, some that we’ve seen in the previous seasons will be graduating this season.
Barkley Manor Season 2 Episode 2: Recap
In the previous episodes, we are introduced to new members of Barkley Manor. Miria, Jerome, and Hamu get involved in a fun little fight that ends with Jerome and Miria facing an unexpected amount of pressure from Hamu, who’s comparatively much larger than them. Despite the size difference, the dogs were confident that Hamu was an easy rival. We also see Laszlo, a cute and feisty dog that was caught humping something random. When Krista looks into his situation, she sees that there’s a much more serious reason behind his behavior.
