“Accused” last aired a new episode in May 2023. The much-anticipated second season will now begin this fall, but the premiere date has changed. According to Deadline, the first episode of Season 2 will premiere on October 8, which is a week later than the original date of October 1.
This change happened because of the upcoming American vice presidential debate between Democratic Governor Tim Walz and Republican Senator J.D. Vance. CBS News will host the debate, and with many people focused on the elections, Fox decided to adjust its schedule to better position their shows for success.
Season 2 of the popular anthology series will air on Tuesdays at 8 P.M. This fall, “Accused” will be paired with the new Canadian drama “Murder in a Small Town.”
What to Expect In ‘Accused’ Season 2
The pilot episode of “Murder in a Small Town” will still air on October 1, before the debate. In the week of October 8, the second episode of “Murder in a Small Town” will air after the premiere of “Accused” Season 2. If everything goes as planned, the shows will continue to air in this order for the rest of the season.
Details about Season 2 are limited. Since each episode tells a different story, most details won’t be available until closer to the air date. However, some cast members for Season 2 have been announced. In an episode titled “Marcus’ Story,” Nick Cannon will play Marcus, a tech entrepreneur.
The episode will also feature Patrick J. Adams as Pete and Jerrika Hinton as Lycia, with the story focusing on a troubling turn when Marcus’ software is used.
William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, Taylor Schilling, Justin Chambers, and Danny Pino will also appear in Season 2. Schilling, Pino, and Chambers will be featured in “April’s Story,” where Schilling plays a nurse named April who faces serious consequences for a crime. Michael Chiklis, who appeared in the show’s pilot, will return in Season 2.
“Accused” Season 2 now premieres on October 8 at 8 P.M., a week later than the original October 1 date. Catch up on all previous episodes of the legal thriller on Hulu before the new season starts.
