Citytv’s Canadian spin-off of the classic dating series, Bachelor In Paradise Canada, will be coming out with a new episode this week. With Edward unexpectedly leaving the show in the last episode, there’s a chance that new contestants will soon be joining the rest of the couples in the house, creating new drama at Camp Paradise.
Airing on television since October 10th, 2021, Bachelor In Paradise Canada is based on the American series that goes by the same name. The spicy new dating series involves placing rejected contestants from other shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette on Camp Paradise. New faces join the Canadian series from time to time too. To be on Camp Paradise, the contestants would have to form strong and meaningful relationships.
If a contestant happens to not have a partner that’ll choose them at the Rose ceremony, they will be sent home. The second season of Bachelor In Paradise Canada has been airing since May 8th, 2023. Sharleen Joynt was chosen as the host this time instead of the previous season’s host, Jesse Jones. A total of 27 contestants were brought to Camp Paradise, but after last week’s episode, only 16 remain.
Bachelor In Paradise Canada Season 2 Episode 8: Recap
In episode 8, we see the contestants all being sent to a room where they’ll have to perform stand-up comedy with none other than Queen Priyanka, one of the biggest Drag Queens in Canada. The challenge involved hosting a roast session on any of the Camp Paradise contestants.
When they’re done making their roasts, the contestants meet again on the stage with the host, Sharleen Joynt, and Kevin Wendt, the bartender, ready to witness the drama unfold. The first ones to perform are Joey and Austin. Maria becomes the center of many roasts. Chelsea ends up winning the competition with her hilarious impressions. She wins a romantic date with Austin, ending the day on a great note. Maria talks to Joey about Tessa’s frustration over her touching his knee.
On the date, Austin proposes to Chelsea, and they begin their relationship. Maria tells Tessa that since Joey was a bartender, it was normal for him to have a flirtatious relationship with women, especially sermons he has been friends with for years. Tessa says her joke wasn’t funny at all. The other women start noticing Maria act catty, while she feels they’ve been targeting and alienizing her. She gets up and leaves, and everyone thinks the woman ganged up on Maria to make her the mean girl.
The eve of the fourth Rose ceremony arrives, and the one going home will be decided by Anna. She has to decide between Juan Pablo and Edward. In the end, Anna chooses Juan over Edward, making him the contestant to go home in the last episode along with Josh and Maria (Both quit).
