Kadokawa has released a character promo video that gives viewers a glimpse into Graham’s colorful world. Yui Ishikawa plays Elise, and Yōhei Azakami plays Linden.
The cast of the show is outstanding. Doctor Elise, directed by Kumiko Habara, is scheduled to premiere in January 2024 and is anticipated to be a captivating blend of fantasy, medical drama, and reincarnation elements.
Yoshimasa Hosoya will take the role of Graham
Yoshimasa Hosoya, who gained recognition for his exceptional portrayal of Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan, will make his anime debut in “Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp.”
Hosoya will play Graham, a young, intelligent physician at Teresa Hospital who gives Elise, the main character, strict instructions. Starring Yui Ishikawa as Elise, Yōhei Azakami as Linden, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Graham, the series is an adaptation of Yuin and Mini’s web novels and manhwa.
The anime, directed by Kumiko Habara, is slated to debut in January 2024 and is expected to feature an intriguing blend of fantasy, reincarnation, and medical drama themes.
Under the direction of Kumiko Habara, who won recognition for her work on “I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss,” Maho Film is in charge of the animation for “Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp.”
The anime promises a visually and narratively captivating experience, with Yuko Watanabe creating the character designs and Deko Akao supervising the series composition.
The opening theme, “Believer,” performed by Yui Ishikawa (as Elise), will add to the anime’s atmosphere, and Maju Arai (as herself) will sing the closing theme, “Listen.”
What is Doctor Elise all about?
“Doctor Elise” tells the story of Aoi Takamoto, a former notorious empress named Elise, who is reborn as Aoi in the modern era. Motivated by her desire for atonement, she decides to become a surgeon.
But ten years before her scheduled execution, another rebirth brings her back to her previous life as Elise, thanks to a catastrophic plane crash.
Driven by a strong desire to alter her fate, Elise utilizes her medical expertise to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
Yuin’s novel, which was first published on KakaoPage, captured readers’ attention from December 2015 to April 2016. Mini’s Manhwa adaptation, which followed, ran in serial form on KakaoPage from September 2017 to February 2018.
