After about four years, Arthdal Chronicles returns with the second season. The Korean drama aired its first episode on September 8, 2023, through its original network, tvN. It is also available for online streaming on Disney Plus.
The first installation of Arthdal Chronicles left us witnessing the dramatic reunion of the clans after over 200 years under the influence of Eun Seom.
Aside from the decade-jump in the story, Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 also sees new actors breathe life into the lead characters. Song Joong Ki portrayed the twins Eun Seom and Saya in the previous season. Tanya, whom Kim Ji Won previously played, is now portrayed by Shin Se Kyung.
The three subjects of the prophecy are still unaware of their fate and how connected they are with each other. On the other hand, Tagon successfully claims the throne as the King of Arthdal after suppressing the revolt against him.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 is set to have 12 episodes, and now that we are in Episode 6, expect things to suddenly turn the other way. Be sure to make way for plot twists and unexpected revelations. Here are the release date, time, preview, spoilers, and the legal sites where you can watch Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 6.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode Recap
In the previous episode, we are left with a shocking abduction of the prince, Arok. Tagon journeys to the hill to witness his son, his face covered and bound, surrounded by the Bato tribesmen. As the brave warrior, Tagon throws himself into battle to save his son.
We can see Tagon facing every blade without any doubt, which proves that he is determined to save the young prince and that surrendering is not an option for him. And although his blood drips from his armor, he still fights his way towards his son.
However, the boy was not Arok. Tagon did not bat an eyelash as he immediately went to Ttesarichon but was halted by TaeAlha, seeing that he was bleeding. As an Igutu, Tagon has to hide his real identity; therefore, no one should see his purple blood, or it may cause another terrible war.
TaeAlha fought instead of Tagon, leaving the latter behind to hide. But Tagon emerged from hiding, risking his identity to join the Queen and fight. When the two had almost defeated the Bato tribe, more men arrived and threatened that they would kill Arok by toppling their God’s statue on him.
Like a miracle, Eun Seom appeared and helped Tagon save Arok. Soldiers from Arthdal also came to the rescue, forcing the tribesmen to retreat.
When everyone thought they could return to the palace peacefully, the soldiers observed purple blood flowing from Tagon, Eun Seom, and Arok. Now, their secrets are revealed, and they have no way out of it, as the image of being an Igutu is a curse to everyone.
Thankfully, Tanya arrived bearing the words of Airuju. She announced that she saw the same purple blood in Aramun’s tomb, confirming that Aramun was also an Igutu. Tanya also confirmed the doctrines of the White Peak Mountain’s Hearts.
Due to Tanya’s words, the sacred purple blood of Aramun was now recognized as a divine blessing bestowed upon the heirs of Arthdal.
