The impersonator of N.Flying’s Kim Jae Hyun has been arrested, and FNC Entertainment has provided a brief update on the situation.
On June 13, N.Flying’s agency FNC Entertainment shared,
“[Kim Jae Hyun’s] impersonator was recently arrested by the police, and Kim Jae Hyun was also interviewed as a witness in relation to this incident.”
The reports confirm that the person who impersonated Kim Jae Hyun from N.Flying has indeed been apprehended by the police following a report from a victim.
The offender has been referred to the prosecution for charges related to fraud and theft, reflecting the financial harm caused to multiple victims during the investigation.
FNC Entertainment had previously addressed the issue in February through an announcement on N.Flying’s official fan cafe, cautioning fans about ongoing incidents of impersonation.
They emphasized the importance of vigilance to prevent further damage to Kim Jae Hyun’s reputation.
It’s noted that Kim Jae Hyun has been serving in the military as a public service worker since May of the previous year, which likely influenced the timing and severity of the reported incidents.
