ARC Raiders could finally receive a dedicated PvE mode, according to a new community rumor. The speculation follows the reception of a Chinese version operated through Tencent, where players have reportedly been able to experience raids with a more relaxed approach to encounters.

The international version currently centers on extraction gameplay where players must contend with both deadly ARC machines and other Raiders. The rumored PvE option could give players a way to focus on fighting AI enemies without the constant threat of hostile players.

According to Arc Raiders Alerts on X, Embark Studios is reportedly reconsidering PvE after seeing the response to the Chinese version. However, this remains an unconfirmed rumor, and the studio has not officially announced a PvE mode for the global release.

The timing is notable because Frozen Trail, ARC Raiders’ biggest update since launch, is scheduled for October 8. Embark has confirmed a new map, ARC threats, a major operation and expanded progression systems for the update, but its official announcement does not mention a PvE mode.

If the rumor proves accurate, a dedicated PvE option could broaden ARC Raiders’ appeal while giving players an alternative to its high-pressure extraction gameplay.
