ARC Raiders has enjoyed a hugely successful launch, earning praise for its extraction shooter gameplay and attracting hundreds of thousands of players. However, the game is once again facing a major challenge after players discovered a new item duplication glitch shortly after Update 1.36 went live.

Unlike a previous exploit that primarily affected throwable items, the latest bug is reportedly capable of duplicating nearly every stackable item in the game, creating fresh concerns about the health of the in-game economy.

New duplication exploit reportedly affects more than grenades

The first widely known duplication glitch allowed players to duplicate throwable equipment, including Trigger-Nades and valuable consumable items, by manipulating inventory stacks before throwing them. That exploit flooded matches with powerful explosives and dramatically inflated players’ stash values.

Following the release of Update 1.36, players began reporting a new duplication method that appears to be even easier to perform. According to discussions shared by the community, the exploit can reportedly duplicate any stackable item, including ammunition, healing supplies, crafting resources, and grenades.

A Reddit post discussing the issue described the exploit by saying,

“I don’t think people realise how game breaking this new Duplication glitch is.”

Another player claimed the bug is so simple that

“You could do it on accident by passing your buddy a stack of ammo and then moving the original stack within your inventory.”

While these reports have gained significant attention, Embark Studios has not publicly confirmed the exact method behind the exploit.

Embark continues monitoring the in-game economy

Embark Studios has been actively combating exploits and cheating since launch. In the Update 1.36 patch notes, the developer acknowledged that duplication issues remain an ongoing battle, stating,

“Like with anti-cheat, we are always working against duplication exploits. We’re keeping a close eye on the game economy, and constantly catalogue, investigate and seek to counteract exploits.”

The studio previously shared data showing that the percentage of players generating unusually high profit per minute had fallen below 1% following enforcement actions against exploiters.

Despite those improvements, community reports suggest the newly discovered glitch has once again enabled some players to flood matches with duplicated grenades and other valuable resources.

Embark has yet to announce a dedicated hotfix for the latest reports. Until then, many players are hoping the developer can quickly address the exploit to protect ARC Raiders’ competitive balance and player-driven economy.
