Arc Raiders continues to deliver strong commercial results for Nexon, with the extraction shooter generating ¥18.3 billion, or approximately $114.9 million, in revenue during the company’s second quarter of 2026. The game also sold another 800,000 copies during the period, taking its lifetime sales to 16.3 million units.

The latest figures were revealed as part of Nexon’s Q2 financial results, which exceeded the company’s expectations. While several of Nexon’s established franchises continued to contribute heavily to its overall business, Arc Raiders stood out as a particularly successful new release from Embark Studios, especially in Western markets.

Arc Raiders Reaches 16.3 Million Sales as Nexon Prepares More Content

The additional 800,000 copies sold in Q2 bring Arc Raiders to 16.3 million total units sold. According to Nexon, the game has generated more than ¥88 billion, or approximately $552.8 million, in revenue since its launch, demonstrating the scale of its commercial performance.

The game’s contribution comes as Nexon reported quarterly revenue of ¥121.1 billion, equivalent to roughly $760.8 million, representing a 2% increase year over year. Operating income declined 17% to ¥31.3 billion, while net income climbed 77% to ¥29.6 billion.

Nexon attributed the decline in operating income partly to increased revenue-linked expenses associated with its global live-service games, including creator fees, user acquisition costs and cloud service expenses. Despite those higher costs, the company highlighted Arc Raiders as one of the key factors supporting its outlook for the remainder of the year.

The publisher is also preparing additional content for the game. Nexon’s earnings statement identified the upcoming Frozen Trail update as one of its major catalysts for the second half of 2026, with the update expected to arrive in October. Nexon has described it as the game’s largest content update since launch, potentially giving Arc Raiders another opportunity to maintain its momentum.

Nexon also pointed to Arc Raiders as evidence that Embark Studios’ approach can help the company expand beyond its established franchises. In its earnings letter, Nexon said the game’s success demonstrated that an original title could break through in Western markets that are often dominated by established franchises.

The company expects its third-quarter revenue to fall between ¥120.7 billion and ¥133.4 billion, with continued strength from MapleStory, the upcoming Arc Raiders content and several new game launches contributing to its outlook. With 16.3 million copies already sold, Arc Raiders has become an increasingly important part of Nexon’s global growth strategy.
