September is coming! And so is Apple TV+ with its new content. It has been a year since Apple started its streaming services, and it has been doing marvelously. Within a year, Apple TV+ has given the shows focusing on such serious issues that always leaves you asking for more. Its original shows like Ted Lasso, Tehran, and For All Mankind already have a cult-like following with conspiracy theories and fan fiction cooking up on the internet. They have also been renewed for a news season and will be coming sometime in the future. Apple TV+ will be dealing with some interesting shows in the upcoming month. These are original shows coming in the upcoming month. Here is the release schedule of Apple TV+ for September 2021.

With no old movie or TV show on the release schedule of the Apple TV+ for this September, the show will be releasing 4 Original shows this month. But for now, only two of them have gotten a proper release date. The other two being “The Problem with John Stewart” and “Five Day at Memorial” have not been giving a release date yet. But it is said that they will be out to premiere by the end of the month.

1. The Morning Show

Release Date: September 17, 2021

The Morning Show is a two-way mirror to one of the most important parts of the media. With the high ratings and viewership of the show, it got renewed for a second season. It will be coming back on no there than Apple TV+. The series is inspired by the Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, which was presented by Brian Stelter.

Season 1 of the show premiered in 2019. The show dealt with the cases of sexual misconduct at the workplace. Mitch Kessler, a popular morning television host, faces accusations of sexual misconduct. With him being in trouble, his co-host Alex Levy also starts having a hard time at work. With a newly transferred exec named Cory Ellison and a local news reporter Bradley Jackson joins the office, things began to change. Season 2 will start from where it left off. As Alex leaves UBA and the morning show behind, Cory is begging her to come back. While Bradley is worried about being “edged out.” As the channel manages to keep the ratings from falling.

The show has a star-studded cast as the big names from the last decade took the lead. Steve Carell plays the role of Mitch Kessler. Alex Levy is played by Jennifer Anniston. Billy Crudup plays the role of Cory Ellison, while Reese Witherspoon plays the role of Bradley Jackson. The supporting cast includes names like Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powley, Karen Pittman, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, and Marcia Gay Harden.

2. Foundations

Release Date: September 24, 2021

Another original series by Apple tackling some serious things. The upcoming science fiction show is based on the novels by Isaac Asimov. By just looking at the trailer, critics are calling that the show is topping the list of the most ambitious TV shows. David S. Goyer, who has worked with icons like Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder, is the man behind the show.

What Is The Show About?

The show will follow the ‘core trilogy’ out of the seven books written by Issac: Foundation, Foundation and Empire, and Second Foundation consisting of eight short stories. The show follows a mathematician named Hari Seldon. Hari makes the prediction that explains unless humanity changes course, the Galactic Empire will fall. It will be followed by a 30,000-year period of turmoil before a second Empire arises. Taking up the alternate path, he lays down the foundation, a group of scientists, engineers, and historians. The group travels to a remote planet known as Terminus. Trying to preserve an anthology of humanity’s knowledge, so the second empire can begin.

3. The Problem with Jon Stewart

The upcoming original show is more like a documentary and a live show covering up the things we might have never noticed. We all are familiar with John Stewart. He is a comedian, writer, producer, director, political commentator, actor, and television host. And he has hosted Comedy Central’s The Daily Show for 17 years. After being on a break for five years, he will be returning to the talk-show circuit. But the thing is that a lot of things have changed since he went on the break.

What Will The Show Be About?

As the title suggests, the show will be looking at the problems with Jon Stewart that we couldn’t see or might have just laughed off. Stewart has been know to support Trump and has gotten in trouble. He tried to keep the low profile, but he was spotted testifying before Congress about funding for Sept. 11 responders and occasionally appearing on the CBS late-night show hosted by pal Stephen Colbert. The documentary cum live show is also like bait for the viewers for Apple TV to get more users to get the streaming service.

The description of the show tells us that “The Problem with Jon Stewart” is a multiple-season, one-hour, single-issue series. The show will explore topics that are currently part of the national conversation and his advocacy work. Every single season of the series will be further explored in a companion podcast to continue the discussion.

4. Five Days at Memorial

Release Date: September 2021

Created by John Ridley, “Five Days at Memorial” is a limited series that will premiere on Apple TV+ later this month. People have high expectations from the series as John Ridley is known for his work, like 12 Years a Slave and American Crime. He is joined by the creator of Locke & Key, Jack Ryan, and Lost Carlton Cuse. Together Carlton and John will be managing the show as the showrunners. They will also be handling the tasks like writing and act as executive producers.

What Is The Show About?

The show is based on the novel of the same name, “Five Days at Memorial” written by Sheri Frink. Based on the true events, the writer Sheri who is also a journalist, wrote about New Orleans hospital after the disaster took place. As the hospital was hit by Hurricane Katrina, it caused the land to fall, which led to the rising of the floodwater. Within seconds, the power went off, and the heat rose. The healthcare workers, exhausted and terrified, had to step up and take matters into their own hands.

The Cast: ABC’s Scandal fame Cornelius Smith Jr. will be taking the lead role as the health care professional. He will be playing Dr. Bryant King. The Conjuring fame Vera Farmiga will be playing Dr. Anna Pou. “Goodbye Lover” fame Molly Hager will be coming back to the screen after a long time. She will be playing the role of Virginia Rider. Straight from Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is coming to Adepero Oduye. She will be playing the role of Karen Wynn. Better Call Saul’s Julie Ann Emery will be playing the role of Diane Robichaux. Michael Gaston from The Mentalist will be playing Schafer. Cherry Jones will be playing the role of Susan Mulderick.
