We started by getting a backstory on the legendary player Fukuda which has everyone excited, but the story soon took a dive when Fukuda sustained a terrible leg injury during his most important match. Fukuda is now left crippled with no hope of returning to the field, and so he has decided to finally call it quits.
Amid this intense backstory, Hana has boldly expressed her feeling to Aoi, along with her desire to go abroad to continue studying. This relationship has been left on a cliffhanger as no answers were given to the readers. Ao Ashi Chapter 336 “Seaside”: Recap
Two years have gone by since the match between Barcelona and Sabadell, which left Fukuda in ruins as he suffered a terrible leg injury. The newspapers are all covered with managers and team players demanding Fukuda to be fired as they don’t need any Japanese players. Hana watches all this unfold with teary eyes, but she puts up a mask to hide her emotions from everyone. She brings the fruits from Paraguay for Fukuda as she believes they can help someone recover faster. They both go outside to eat those fruits when Nozomi calls Fukuda.
Nozomi gets extremely furious at Fukuda for thinking about retiring and he gives him many alternatives just so he would change his decision. Fukuda thanks Nozomi for everything he has done so far and cuts the call with both of them in tears. Fukuda also calls Kasumi to inform her that he’s going to quit. Hana listens to all these phone calls while standing behind Fukuda and starts crying uncontrollably. Fukuda then calls his mother to inform her about his decision, and she tells him that he can finally take a break now while crying.
Fukuda cuts the call and falls to the ground in tears; Hana also can’t stop her tears after looking at her brother’s pitiful state. Suddenly a kid comes running towards Fukuda and asks him to teach him and his friends how to play. The focus shifts to Hana and Aoi in the present, and Hana tells Aoi that she couldn’t do anything for her brother. That’s why she wanted to become a doctor so that she could help her brother stand on two legs again, but she was too naive as it is impossible.
Hana says that she dreamed of making it so at least fewer players suffer from such drastic injuries, and that’s why she wanted to study abroad, but she feels like that dream is going to shatter. Aoi asks her why and Hana replies that it’s because she has fallen in love with him, and so she wants to stay in Japan to look after him, but that’s not possible because she needs to keep moving forward. Aoi just smiles instead of saying anything, and Hana returns home. Fukuda arrives at the scene and asks Aoi what happened.
Ao Ashi Chapter 337: Spoilers
Fans expecting to get an answer to Hana’s proposal to Aoi are going to be disappointed as this Chapter is not going to give any hints about it. Apart from that, Fukuda is going to take Aoi to the world stage by making him play in the Esperion vs. Barcelona match happening in Qatar.
This is going to be the biggest achievement for Aoi and Fukuda both. Meanwhile, other players like Yuri are also preparing to make an entrance as Barcelona U-18 has suffered some major injuries. The match between Barcelona and Esperion is going to take place in Ao Ashi Chapter 338!
