Yi Soo praised Park Shin Hye’s willingness to take on a script from a rookie writer, stating that it motivated her to ensure the drama would meet high standards.
Yi Soo’s enthusiasm extends to Kim Jae Young’s casting as well. She admired his performance in Reflection of You and felt a personal connection to his work.
“Hearing that Kim Jae Young would play Han Da On was a joy. His role demands a range of emotions, from warmth to suspicion, and I believe he will deliver a stellar performance,” Yi Soo added.
The character of Han Da On is complex and pivotal, requiring a balance of empathy and intensity. Yi Soo envisioned Han Da On as a figure with a mix of fierceness, warmth, and sorrow.
She described Kim Jae Young’s portrayal as embodying exactly what she had imagined, highlighting his ability to convey deep and varied emotions.
