Arya Stark has come a long way in Game of Thrones. For someone who knew nothing in the first season, she has done exceedingly well. Just like her Stark siblings, she overcame what she had to face to become the strong person that she is today.
Arya has trained with the Hound, and she also went to Braavos to be a Faceless Man. Of course, she didn’t stay there for long though. Arya left the place back in Season 6.
Coming in to Season 7, she was a big part of Game of Thrones, as she has been every season. Her first job was to kill Walder Frey, the person who had betrayed Robb Stark and her mother. She didn’t even leave her sons alive.
Being the deadly person that she is, she annihilated the entire Frey House via poisoned wine. She was going to murder Cersei Lannister, however, as she met Hot Pie, she was told that Jon Snow had won back Winterfell and now, he was King in North.
Arya reached Winterfell quite early, and she didn’t do much there. Here biggest role to play at Winterfell was to execute Littlefinger. Arya made sure she was the one to take his life after Bran helped them to find out all about his betrayals to House Stark.
His execution was carried out in the finale of the Season, and you couldn’t help but wonder who Arya’s next target will be. For now, Arya will.be taking part in the battle against the Dead. She has a Valyrian Steel dagger, and that pretty much is a confirmation of that.
Arya is likely going to help Jon defeat the Dead first. But, knowing her, she will continue on her killing spree once the long night is over. The most notable name on the list is that of Cersei Lannister.
Now, we know that Cersei’s fate has already been decided and that she’ll be murdered by one of her brothers, but maybe that’s not true after all. The show could very well head in a different direction. For all we know, Cersei could infact be killed by Arya Stark, and she’ll be striking off another name off her list.
‘Valonqar’ means ‘Little one’. Cersei always took it to mean that Tyrion would be the one to kill her. But, it could easily be Jaime, or maybe even Arya. It could also be that Arya is wearing the face of Jaime Lannister, and then she’s going to kill Cersei Lannister.
What I do know for sure is that Arya is definitely going to cross a few more names off her list. Whether she’ll be the one to kill Cersei or not remains to be seen.
7 Characters Who Will Definitely Survive Season 8 of Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones Season 7 had many deaths, just like every other season, and there were also the ones who ended up surviving. Even though the Night King has now entered Westeros, and will be looking to kill every single living thing there, it is pretty much known that he’ll either lose in the end, or a peace will be formed with the White Walkers. It’ll be one of the two. Life has to win out in the end. So, even though the next season will be a bloodbath, there will be those who will end up surviving. Here’s a list of 7 characters who I think will definitely survive Season 8.
Tyrion Lannister is the Hand of Daenerys Targaryen. He doesn’t really have to be in the fight against the White Walkers, so he will be safe, and if the living side wins, that would mean he is alive as well. Again, Tyrion is no military man either, so when Cersei gets defeated, no harm will be done to him. He’ll live in Season 8.
Jon Snow is one character who I think will definitely survive. He’s going to be leading the war against the Dead, and that does mean danger. However, Jon has already died once. There is no point in killing him again. We had this huge reveal about his past, and if he just does without actually having to do anything about the throne, then it was all for naught.
Arya Stark is a Faceless assassin. My opinion on her is that she’ll end up living in season 8. Even in Martin’s previous plans for the series, Arya ended up surviving. She also has a few more names to cross off her list, so killing her in Season 8 would be pointless.
Many have speculated that Daenerys Targaryen will die in Season 8, and many want her to die in Season 8. But, again I do not think she’ll die. After 7 seasons of wanting the throne, being more of a revolutionary, she cannot just die. She has to break the Wheel, so I’m certain she will do that. Further, she’s with Jon Snow now and if she dies it will tragic and not bittersweet.
