The upcoming anime Kirio Fan Club has revealed its second key visual, confirming that the series is scheduled to begin streaming in April 2026. The romantic comedy is based on the manga by Chikyu no Osakana Ponchan, originally serialized in Ruelle COMICS by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha from 2022 to 2024.
The newly released visual highlights the central characters and captures the emotional tone of the story, which revolves around the everyday lives and feelings of two high school girls who are hopelessly in love with the same boy.
Kirio Fan Club follows Aimi Miyoshi and Nami Sometani, two classmates who share a deep admiration for their fellow student Ken Kirio. Rather than directly confessing their feelings, the girls spend their time talking endlessly about him, imagining different scenarios, and expressing their affection in humorous and heartfelt ways.
Their conversations range from simple wishes, such as sharing an umbrella or eating hamburgers together, to exaggerated fantasies that highlight the intensity of their crush. While their daily routine appears ordinary, their one-sided love gradually begins to influence their lives in unexpected ways.
The series blends comedy and emotion, portraying the unique friendship between the two girls as they bond over their shared affection for Kirio.
Manga Recognition and Previous Adaptation
The original manga gained significant attention during its run. It ranked 6th in the “Women’s Edition” of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024 and 10th in the 2025 edition, placing it among the top ten titles for two consecutive years.
Even after the manga concluded, the series maintained a strong fanbase. In April 2025, the story was adapted into a live-action television drama, which received the Galaxy Award Encouragement Prize in the television category.
