Andy Cohen’s 5-year-old son, Ben, has an interesting wish list this Christmas. Cohen shared with Us Weekly that Ben asked for a police drone, specifically a Lego version that flies. “It’s very timely,” said Cohen, referencing the recent news about drones flying over New Jersey. Cohen playfully questioned if his son had been watching the news.
Ben’s list didn’t stop there. He also asked for bath toys for his 2-year-old sister, Lucy, showing his caring side. Additionally, Ben wanted a kit to create Valentine’s cards for his dad. “I couldn’t believe it,” Cohen said, highlighting the special bond he shares with his son.
While Andy Cohen’s holiday season revolves around his children, especially since becoming a father, he still finds time for his adult life. As the host of Watch What Happens Live, Cohen also spends the end of the year preparing for CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live alongside his best friend, Anderson Cooper.
Cohen shared how he and Cooper plan the New Year’s Eve broadcast, bringing along producers from Watch What Happens Live to add some extra fun. He noted how Anderson brings the “fun” to the show, while CNN is focused on news. This year, Cohen teased, they have several fun guests and surprises lined up, ensuring the broadcast will be exciting.
Reflecting on past broadcasts, Cohen admitted there were moments when his mind wandered. However, this year they are more prepared. “We have a lot of fun guests,” Cohen said, expressing excitement for the upcoming show. Cohen also enjoys the live nature of the event, having learned to embrace any mishaps that come his way.
As for the drinks during the broadcast, Cohen takes charge of the beverages. He confessed that he personally brings a duffle bag filled with tequila and Fresca mix. “I literally bring a duffle bag with a few bottles of tequila,” he explained, ensuring everything is set for the fun-filled evening.
As Cohen gets ready for the new year, he’s focused on making 2025 a memorable one. His partnership with Fresca Mixed will help him ring in the new year in style.
