This announcement was confirmed by the anime’s staff on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, along with the release of the second promotional video.
The new promotional video offers a glimpse of the anime’s ending theme song, “Blue Star,” performed by Sayaka Yamamoto.
Based on the celebrated fantasy light novel series by Fuminori Teshima and COMTA, “An Archdemon’s Dilemma” has amazed readers since its serialization began in February 2017 under the HJ Bunko imprint of Hobby Japan.
With 17 volumes published to date, the series promises an intriguing storyline and rich world-building for fans to explore in its anime adaptation.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the “An Archdemon’s Dilemma” anime shared the second trailer, revealing broadcast details.
According to the clip, the anime is scheduled to premiere on April 4, 2024, at 24:30 JST (effectively April 5, 2024, at 12:30 am JST) on Tokyo MX.
In addition to Tokyo MX, the fantasy anime will also air on MBS and BS Asahi channels, albeit at later times. Japanese fans can also catch the series on ABEMA.
The second promotional video delves into the anime’s plot, spotlighting key characters and teasing their pasts. It explores the evolving relationship between Zagan and Nephilia, the two main leads.
The trailer also previews the ending theme song, “Blue Star,” performed by Sayaka Yamamoto. The song complements the amazing visuals and emotional scenes of the anime.
Sayaka Yamamoto shared her thoughts on the ending theme, expressing her excitement to be part of her favorite anime world through music. She mentioned reading the original work before composing the song and expressed her love for the story, hoping fans would enjoy the music.
