Amy Robach looks back on the previous year and says she is happy and content despite going through things like losing her job, having her reputation damaged, losing friends, and having a lot of material belongings taken away from her.
Amy discusses her experiences, including the realization that she had to give up many of her possessions, in an interview with her boyfriend T.J. Holmes, on their podcast.
She also makes reference to learning new things about her ex-husband, Andrew Shue, during their divorce, highlighting the lesson that you might not know someone all that well until you’ve gone through the process of being apart.
Amy Robach and T.J.Holmes romance
Amy Robach and T.J. emphasize that their highly publicized romance is not as scandalous as it may have seemed initially, despite the fact that Robach gained insights from her divorce with Melrose Place star Andrew Shue in 2023.
As their relationship came to light in November 2022, Amy and T.J. were still lawfully wed to different individuals. They subsequently disclosed, though, that at that point, they had already discreetly broken up with their respective partners.
Amy made it clear that people in her immediate social circle knew she was going through a divorce. Early in August, she took off her wedding band, letting people who knew her know that she was already divorcing Andrew, the man she had married in 2010.
But T.J. acknowledged that the couple might have erred. T.J. and Marilee Fiebig officially ended their nearly 13-year marriage last October. The 46-year-old acknowledged that, prior to the revelation of his new relationship with GMA3 cohost Amy, he had not even told his mother that he and Amy were separated.
It seems that Marilee and Andrew have both found love again and, surprisingly, with each other, despite the initial tension. Indeed, on a December vacation, they were spotted getting intimate.
Amy Robach and T.J.Holmes initial days of friendship
When Amy Robach joined the ABC morning show in 2012, she eventually became the host of GMA3: What You Need to Know from the Pandemic: What You Need to Know, which aired after Good Morning America. After Robach and T.J. Holmes became fast friends after Holmes joined ABC News in 2014, Holmes was later named Robach’s co-host.
Robach said she was excited to be working with Holmes, adding that for the previous five years, they had been attempting to figure out how to work together. Saying that Holmes was “like my brother,” she highlighted their close bond, pointing out that they can complete each other’s sentences and have a fantastic working relationship built on trust.
Holmes agreed, pointing out their extraordinary friendship and the confidence they have in one another while working together. Holmes and his spouse, Marilee Fiebig, used to go on double dates with Robach and her husband, Andrew Shue, she continued.
Amy Robach and T.J.Holmes going official
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes made the decision to post about their romance on Instagram almost a year after going public with their relationship. During a visit to his alma mater, Holmes shared multiple photos of them cuddling at a University of Arkansas Razorbacks game on October 23.
Along with sharing pictures from the trip, Robach also shared a picture of the signs indicating reserved seats on Instagram. With the captions “Hog for a night” and “Dawg for life,” the University of Georgia alum shared their love for the hashtag “#truelove.”
At Jingle Ball 2023, the couple celebrated the festive season by making their red carpet debut. Robach wore a strapless black leather minidress, while Holmes wore a black velvet tuxedo sans a tie. They didn’t hold back when it came to cuddling while posing for pictures. Robach even posted a video of Holmes laughingly tossing a plush animal on her chest.
Only four days had passed since their joyous date night and the debut of their brand-new iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J.
