Pearl Abyss has reportedly welcomed senior AMD executives to its headquarters in South Korea for discussions about expanding their technical partnership, with Crimson Desert serving as the main focus of the visit. The meeting took place on October 8, following AMD’s wider business engagements in the country.

The discussions reportedly covered ways to improve game development efficiency and enhance the gaming experience through closer technical cooperation.
AMD EXECUTIVE PRAISES CRIMSON DESERT’S FREQUENT UPDATES
The visit followed Huynh’s appearance at AMD Gamer Day in Seoul on October 7, where he spoke positively about his personal experience with Crimson Desert.
“Crimson Desert is a game I bought myself,”
Huynh said, according to Inven Global. He also praised Pearl Abyss for responding quickly to player feedback, saying,
“It was impressive to see them release updates every 24 hours reflecting community feedback.”
His comments highlight the importance of post-launch support for the game, which launched globally on PC and consoles in March 2026.

The relationship between AMD and Pearl Abyss predates the game’s release. The companies showcased Crimson Desert through AMD-powered demonstrations at Gamescom in 2023 and 2024 before announcing a strategic partnership in September 2025.
According to Pearl Abyss’ official announcement, the collaboration focuses on optimizing the game’s performance and delivering an enhanced experience using AMD hardware and technologies, including FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.
