Gable Steveson, a highly decorated amateur wrestler, signed with WWE to much fanfare. Drafted to Raw, excitement grew about his potential. However, Steveson’s WWE career was short-lived, and he was recently released.

Steveson was pegged as a future WWE superstar. He even appeared alongside Kurt Angle, hinting at a possible storyline. Unfortunately, this never materialized, and Steveson never made his in-ring debut.
Booker T, a wrestling legend, offered his thoughts on Steveson’s WWE run. He believes Steveson’s passion for amateur wrestling might have hindered his WWE success.
“He still had the amateur wrestling bug in him,” Booker T said. “It was hard for him to fully commit to WWE. He still wanted to prove himself in amateur wrestling, and being half-in wasn’t ideal.”
While Booker T highlights Steveson’s divided focus, others questioned his ability to handle mic work during feuds.
With his WWE career over, Steveson’s future remains uncertain. Will he return to amateur wrestling, or will another wrestling promotion take a chance on him? Only time will tell.
Regardless, Steveson’s story serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by athletes transitioning between different wrestling styles.
