Amanda Stanton, former star of Bachelor Nation, recently raised eyebrows with a playful suggestion that pop icon Taylor Swift may be borrowing style ideas from her. In a post shared on December 29, 2024, Stanton mused that Swift, 34, might be keeping an eye on her wardrobe.
Stanton shared a photo comparing her own look to Swift’s, highlighting the similarities between a black embellished jacket she wore just six days earlier and the coat Swift wore on a night out in New York City. Swift’s Simkhai coat caught Stanton’s attention because of its resemblance to her own Curtis jacket by Misa Los Angeles.
While acknowledging the coincidence could be a stretch, Stanton emphasized that this was not the first time she had noticed such parallels. She remarked, “If this were the only occasion, I wouldn’t think anything of it, but this is like the 7th time, so now I’m paying attention.” The comment seemed to imply that the stylistic overlap between the two was more than a mere fluke.
Despite the similar jackets, both women styled their outfits differently. Swift wore her coat over a pleated mini dress by Fleur du Mal, while Stanton paired her jacket with black pants. However, both ladies accessorized with silver accents. Swift’s jewelry included diamond dangling earrings worth $34,900 and a glittering Stella McCartney purse valued at $2,450, while Stanton added sparkle with shimmery earrings and black heels adorned with silver beads.
As Us Weekly delved deeper into the comparison, they discovered additional moments where the two women appeared to share similar tastes. One notable example was a summer appearance where both women wore blue mini dresses featuring detailed hems. Stanton’s dress shared on Instagram during a vacation to France, had sheer sleeves with feather cuffs, along with a matching hemline. Her fans even remarked that the look resembled the song “Bejeweled” from Swift’s Midnights album.
Swift had worn a nearly identical version of the dress earlier that year. Cara Delevingne had posted Swift’s ensemble, which was also from Stella McCartney, on social media in May.
Despite the apparent similarities, it seems that Swift and Stanton might simply have a shared fashion sense. Both women are fans of pleated skirts, knee-high boots, floral dresses, plaid outfits, and even bold red fur coats. While some may speculate that Swift is a secret Bachelor superfan, it’s just as possible that they both naturally gravitate toward similar styles.
