Haruto has been challenged with the difficult task of going to the Academy in Am I Actually the Strongest? Episode 6 when his father told Haruto that the King has enrolled Haruto in a prestigious Academy. Haruto wanted nothing to do with hardships of life and unlike other MC, Haruto also has no interest in saving the world or becoming a hero.
Haruto had always wanted a quiet life without any hardships, and it may be his attempt at running away for reality and the responsibilities that come with it. Unfortunately, Haruto has been presented with a difficult choice now.
Haruto was reborn with an exceptional talent but he wanted to have nothing to do with it. In his first life, Haruto lived as a recluse shut-in or what we call a hikikomori. In his new life, Haruto is born as Prince Reinhardt in a mystical world full of magic and monsters.
Haruto realized that he had magical powers but he kept them hidden and pretended to be weak, which earned him the contempt of his father who thought Haruto was a weak good for nothing. Additionally, his status as the weak prince also made him a target for multiple assassinations which forced him to use his powers.
Am I Actually the Strongest? is a hilarious yet touching isekai anime filled with action, thrill and adventure. Haruto may be an exceptionally demotivated and lazy character but he somehow comes across as relatable to many people which has made this anime quite popular among the audience.

Am I Actually the Strongest?: Recap
In the previous chapter of Am I Actually the Strongest?, Haruto thwarts Queen Gizelotte’s attempt at murdering Princess Charlotte. Queen Gizelotte is extremely angry about the fact that her men failed to assassinate the Princess and she harshly disciplines them for their failure.
Her men then tell her about the Black Knight who interrupted them and caused them to fail. As they are telling Queen Gizelotte about the Black Knight, Haruto appears and the Queen fights him since he has been proving himself to be an obstacle in Queen Gizelotte’s plans.
Queen Gizelotte is powerful but Haruto manages to overpower her and places a metal chain around her neck after defeating her. He then tells Queen Gizelotte to never come near his family again and also that if she tried to pry the chain by herself, she will probably take off her head doing that.
Haruto warns Queen Gizelotte and says that he will remove the chain after he is sure that she is not plotting against his family again. Things become peaceful again and there is a time lapse of 5 years after the fight with Queen Gizelotte.
Haruto, Charlotte and Flay are seen playing together in the snow and Haruto asks Heart if Queen Gizelotte has been plotting against his family again. Heart tells him that there has been nothing suspicious going on with the Queen and Haruto is relieved to hear that since he can go back to living as a hikikomori again now.
Unfortunately, his plan is disrupted when Heart tells Haruto that he needs to go to school now since the King has enrolled Haruto in an elite school himself. Haruto is determined not to go and assigns his duplicate to go to school in his stead.
