ALLDAY PROJECT’s Tarzzan recently gave fans a glimpse into his high school dating life while appearing on MBC’s popular variety show The Manager.

During the October 3 episode, the 5th-generation idol returned to his former high school in Busan, where the familiar surroundings brought back memories from his student years.

While walking around his old school, Tarzzan reflected on his teenage years and the relationships he experienced before becoming an idol.

What began as a nostalgic trip soon turned into a surprisingly personal conversation about his past romances, including one breakup that clearly left an impression on him.

Tarzzan Recalls a Painful High School Breakup

During the episode, Tarzzan explained that visiting his former school made memories from that period come back to him. He recalled,

“Back when I was dating in high school, I would walk around here and there… I’m starting to see those memories one by one.”

The hosts then asked about his popularity and dating experiences during his school years. Tarzzan responded candidly, saying,

“I dated people, broke up with them, got dumped, and things like that.”

One particular relationship stood out from the rest. Tarzzan revealed that he was a freshman in high school when he dated an older student who was a senior.

However, after she graduated and entered adulthood, their relationship eventually came to an end.

Tarzzan explained that he felt she no longer viewed him in the same way after graduating.

He recalled that he “couldn’t sit still” and became restless before she ultimately ended their relationship.

He admitted that the breakup was painful, saying simply,

“It hurt…”

Although the experience was difficult at the time, Tarzzan now views his past relationships from a different perspective.

His Past Relationships Helped Shape His Music

Rather than looking back on the breakup only negatively, Tarzzan explained that experiences like this have become useful when creating music.

The ALLDAY PROJECT member believes that having experienced both relationships and breakups firsthand gives him emotional material to draw from when writing songs about heartbreak. He shared,

“Experiences like that ended up helping when I write breakup songs.”

He also added that he thinks it is a good thing that he has experienced many different emotions and situations.

Tarzzan’s candid story gave viewers a more personal look at the experiences that shaped him before his debut.

What was once a painful teenage memory has since become part of the emotional perspective he brings to his songwriting.

His appearance on The Manager ultimately showed a more reflective side of the idol, as he looked back on his school years, past relationships, and the experiences that continue to influence his work as a musician.
