All Rise Season 3 Episode 2 Recap
On the court, Luke and Emily are talking about Emily starting her holistic law firm. Mark Callan is prosecuting Tyler Pierce and griping Luke about the new guy he has to work with, Tajdar Biswas, a young man. Tyler’s defense lawyer is Mark’s fiancee, Amy. Mark and Amy’s relationship is strained as a result.
Mark receives a call from his boss, who pressures him to accept a plea bargain with Amy. Tajdar enters the courtroom with Amy and Tyler while Mark remains in the hallway. Judge Lola begins the hearing without Mark present, and Tajdar is asked why they would accept the plea deal. Tajdar is unsure because he believes they could be found guilty. Judge Lola dismisses the plea deal, and the case is set for a trial hearing.
Case Argument
Amy and Mark argue about the case and their relationship in Judge Lola’s chambers. They are not to communicate or live together until the trial is completed, according to Lola. Mark and Gigi are arguing outside the courthouse about her behavior, and Emily is trying to learn everything she can about starting her holistic law firm. According to Edith, who began her holistic law firm, Emily should find an established law firm and expand with them to include holistic law.
Gigi is testifying, and she is sincere and emotional. She proves to be an excellent witness. When two officers arrive looking for Lola, Sherri is in Lola’s office. Her election is being investigated. They go to Lola’s house and have a conversation with her there. While Sherri was assisting Lola with her campaign for a judgeship, she offered to assist some of the voters with rental assistance. She was only trying to help and was willing to help in any way she could. Amy interrogates Gigi, forcing her to read the texts she sent Tyler, asking for rough sex and bruises. Gigi becomes enraged and refers to Amy as a “cold woman.” Gigi begins to cry.
Another Case
Luke brings Bailiff Delia a sandwich, and she inquires about his relationship with Emily, to which he confirms that they are still only friends. Ness is having difficulty dealing with Amy’s plan to make Tyler appear to be the victim. The Bar Panel lawyers laugh Emily out of the office when she pitches her idea of adding holistic law. Tajdar interrogates Tyler until he becomes agitated. Tyler threatens Tajdar’s life in court. Tajdar tells Judge Lola in his chambers that he honestly believes Tyler will continue his dangerous behavior.
Investigation
The jury arrived at a quick decision. Tyler is found not guilty of all charges by the jury! Ness is upset and disgusted as she exits the courtroom. Amy and Tyler are escorted out of the courtroom. When Gigi emerges from the courtroom, she discovers she has a following, and Tyler is informed that he has been released from his professional hockey team.
The investigation into Sherri’s behavior during the election is moving forward to a trial, which Lola and Sherri are informed of. Sherri is disappointed that Lola has lost faith in her. Amy confronts Ness about her decision to leave the courtroom. With this case, Ness became overly emotional. Even though Ness hasn’t heard if she passed the bar yet, the office has thrown her a party. Even though she has been informed that she has failed the bar, Ness celebrates with everyone!
