Remember the time when Sony came out with their new handheld gaming system called PSP (PlayStation Portable). Just carrying around in your pocket automatically made you a cool kid in the school. Now, we had handheld consoles even before Sony came out with it, but they weren’t as powerful enough as the PSP. Of course, after a while, we had smartphones capable of doing all that the PSP could do but with added functionalities. We were witnessing the end of the handheld gaming consoles when suddenly Nintendo announced that they were releasing a handheld console called Switch. In this article, we would be talking about all Nintendo games releasing in September 2021.
Nintendo is literally the first-ever company to produce and sell video games and consoles. They started out as a playing card company and soon became the face of video games and gaming in general. But they did not reach those heights overnight. There were a lot of struggles, failed ventures, losses, etc, that were also part of the process. They launched numerous games and consoles throughout their time as a video game company. Game Boy, Nintendo DS, GameCube, Wii, Switch, etc. are some of the consoles that the company has launched to date.
Switch is the latest member of the family. It was announced in October 2016 and was released later on March 3, 2017. It is a hybrid console, which means that you can play it as a handheld console or attach it to the dock connected to the tv. The Switch has removable Joycons on both sides, which can be used to play multiplayer games with your friends. On its release, two titles were launched ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ and ‘Super Mario Odyssey.’ Let’s now look at all Nintendo games releasing in September 2021.
Sonic Colors Ultimate
Sonic Colors Ultimate has already been released on September 7, 2021. Join Sonic-The Hedgehog again on his quest to defeat Dr. Eggman. This time, Dr. Eggman has built an amusement park with ultimate rides and colorful attractions, but he is powering it all with the help of an alien species called Wisps. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Every anime fan loves the Dragon Ball Z franchise, be it anime, movie, or game. We have got our fair share of Dragon Ball games for almost all the consoles. This time around, Bandai Namco has brought us yet another game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. It will be releasing for Nintendo Switch on September 24, 2021. What is to say about this game, the name itself is the biggest selling point. Explore the world along with the Z fighters and uncover the story that answers some of the most burning questions of the Dragon Ball lure that have never been spoken of before.
Eastward follows the story of a young girl named Sam. In near future, most of humanity is wiped out due to the presence of a deadly toxin that has spread around the land. But Sam still has hope for the outside world and thinks that people can thrive on the land. So she sets out on an adventure to land above. Along with his partner John, they both explore the land, meet new people and defeat monsters. Sam with her kinetic abilities while John with his super trusty frying pan. Eastward will be releasing on September 16, 2021.
After its tremendous success on PS 4 and Xbox One, THQ Nordic is set to release the game in its entirety for Switch on September 30, 2021. The game follows the story of Fury, the third of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This RPG game has borrowed elements from its previous installment Darksiders II and Darksiders Genesis. Although the game is 2 years old, I guess the fans of the series might enjoy playing it on Switch.
WarioWare: Get It Together
For those of you who enjoyed Wario straight up crushing you Mario Kart, here’s him with his own game. But don’t worry, this time you control him and other of his champs in Micro-games. This game has over 200 micro-games in it, and each champ has its own way of completing that game. As you progress in the story mode, you unlock more of his champs. There is even multiplayer mode so that you can beat your friends at plucking apples from a tree or squeezing out toothpaste and all other 200 games. Competing in Wario Cup that has a different event every week. The game will be releasing on September 10.

Tails Of Iron
Tails of Iron will be releasing on September 17 this year. It follows the story of Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne. Play as Redgi and embark on a quest to reclaim your Kingdom. Explore the world around you and make the frog clan pay for what they did to your kingdom. Annihilate them for once and for all. Master the art of combat and ravish your opponents. This is all about the revenge of Redgi and pure violence.
Nexomon is an adventure RPG game where you can catch over 300 Nexomons. You have to catch, evolve and train your Nexomons to take part in battles against your friends and fellow trainers in a turn-based battle system. This game is an alternative to Pokemon games present on Switch.
Addams Family Mansion Mayhem
Addams Family Mansion Mayhem is a family game that focuses mainly on PVP-style battles. Throw the caution to the wind and play this spooky game with your friends but mostly family. Explore the mansion, each and every room has its own games that you can play. You can control four characters in this game, Wednesday, Pugsley, Gomez, and Morticia. Find out the dark and mysterious past of the house as you uncover the story further and help them save their house.
BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites
You play as Rayne in the upcoming title BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites as she fights her way through the underground castle to defeat her father, Kagan. It is a classic 2D Hack N’ Slash remastered. This remastered version includes voice acting by the original cast Laura Bailey (Rayne) and Troy Baker (Kagan). The visual details and graphics got a major overhaul from when the game was first released back in 2011. There is now an option to set the difficulty level. The release date is set for September 9, 2021.
Ultra Age is an action-adventure game that follows the story of a young warrior named Age. Far in the future, humankind is on the brink of extinction, Age is on his quest to stop that from happening. You along with your trusty android, Helvis, must find the key to the survival of Earth and humankind. Wield your sword in this high-speed action game and defeat the monsters that now inhabit the planet. Ultra Age will be releasing on September 9.
With this many games releasing on Nintendo Switch only for this month, what more games would they be planning to release in Q4. There are sure many promising gaming titles on this list, but some of them are just there to either add numbers or for a really niche audience.
