After a brief walk with Seo Yul, Bu-Yeon inquires about his health. The priestess points out that the genius magician would be “foolish” to ignore his illness, knowing the potential harm that whatever is within him might inflict, she is requested to disregard it as the two mutually promised to be “foolhardy buddies.”
Seo Yul then notes the resemblance between Bu and Naksu as she refers to his sweet tastes as “premium.” Park tells Jang Uk about his wife’s promise of protection in a separate conversation. We observe Bu-Yeon had been invited as the Queen informs the Monarch of her intriguing plans to host an “ostentatious” feast with young ladies wary of Naksu on the occasion of the soul shifter’s death.
Servant girl Kim is ecstatic at this information and uses her enthusiasm to search for the priestess a gown appropriate for the formal occasion. Benevolence, however, has a very small ulterior motive in that she wishes to divert Bu-Yeon from rumors temporarily.

Recap Of The Story So Far Alchemy of Souls S2
Jang found himself admiring Buyeon when he finds her wearing one of her potential banquet outfits. He even appears interested enough to propose that she cut her growing nails. “Sit in a location so everyone can see you when you attend the banquet.
The monster hunter smiles and says, “I want everybody there and see you that same day. I let everyone know the priestess is my bride. Bu-Yeon then has her desires fulfilled, and she wants to flaunt the fact that they get along in public, wear an earring with Uk’s clan’s crest on it, and tell the world that he “lit up the sky.”
Park and Servant Kim flirt over what they will wear for that evening’s dinner and how gorgeous each other will appear the following Servant Kim brings Bu’s manicured nails to Jin. Then, leaving aside his anxieties about being rejected, Dang-gu urges Joo to give Choyeon jewels if she is spotted at the Queen’s celebration.
The Heir To the throne considers the potential consequences of a soul changer killing Bu-Yeon at the dinner while realizing that Jang will probably be held accountable per Jin’s plan. Jin directs Jinyowon to assist him in stopping the story of Naksu’s homecoming from murdering Buyeon during a trip to Hogyeong.
The Queen welcomes several ladies from the court as the meal begins and makes a contentious concession by getting two Jin close relatives to participate. Nevertheless, the event is spectacular in the traditional sense, and Jang has prepared a fireworks show to “brighten up the sky” for his fiancée.
His true intent is to conjure Naksu using the vibrant surroundings, though. The shocked Buyeon hears Jang remark, “I’m terrible, but you’ll have to go now.” When Sangho goes looking, Soi and Byeong try to flee from their gaming lair, but a lurking Seo stymies them.
In another scene, as the banquet fireworks show is in full flow, a performer transforms into a soul changer, attacks Bu-Yeon, then flees, inciting a furious reaction from the crowd. The Queen claims right away that Naksu murdered the priestess, but Servant girl Kim foils her plot.
Do-joo declares, “Young Princess Buyeon is secure,” indicating that Hogyeong dispatched Gwiseo, which is a white mice relic, to take the place of Bu-Yeon to shield her from this assault. The bard’s targeted soul changer is found and killed by Jang, putting an immediate end to the speculations of Naksu’s reappearance.
Later, to bring calm to the capital, the dragon age reports to the Monarch, “Today, I managed to get away from Naksu, the spirit shifter that showed up during the dinner.” Seo Yul also admits to Soi that he refuses to take the medication.
Master Lee also goes back to Songrim. Jang remembers his days with his true love while drinking alone at the mountain where Naksu perished. He waits there in sadness before doing so. Later, while still asleep, Jang wakes up and embraces Bu-Yeon.
