On 26 December 2023, Bournemouth scored a 3-0 victory over Fulham, thereby marking its fourth straight Premier League victory. Professional footballer Dominic Solanke, who plays as a forward for AFC Bournemouth, kept up his excellent scoring streak by scoring a masterful penalty goal.
Two changes were made by Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola from the Cherries’ victory over Nottingham Forest on 23 December, and they worked together to build up the first goal in the following match. Justin Kluivert scored first for Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium just before halftime, thanks to a brilliant run set up by Alex Scott.
Even though he was forced to watch the game from the stands due to a one-match touchline ban, Iraola found this most recent Bournemouth victory to be extremely fulfilling. In the directors’ box, he must have felt pretty at ease as fans repeatedly chanted his name as the Cerries marked their sixth win in seven games—a nearly flawless run.

Bournemouth on a Winning Streak
“We want to keep it going,” Iraola expressed, as he continued, “We were not as bad as we looked at the beginning of the season and not as good as we look today – we are probably somewhere in the middle.”
He also expressed their immense success as: “Once everyone began to understand each other better, I think we began to get the results. But, I also know that maybe in one month, we can be talking about being on a very bad run because now we have a very difficult schedule.”
During the match on Tuesday, Solanke made Joao Palhinha pay for taking down Antoine Semenyo by sending Fulham’s goalkeeper Bernd Leno the wrong way and scoring their second goal. Just at stoppage time, Luis Sinisterra added the cherry on top with a curling third goal.
Bournemouth is in 10th place in the rankings with four points clear of Fulham in 13th position. With a hat‑trick in their victory at Nottingham Forest, Dominic Solanke has now scored a total of 12 goals, the second highest behind Erling Haaland in this season of the Premier League.
What is the Premier League?
The Premier League is the top division of the English football league system, which is contested by 20 clubs and uses the English Football League’s (EFL) promotion and relegation system.
Every team plays 38 home and away games against every other team throughout the normal August–May season. With a few rare weekday evening matches, the majority of games take place in the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays.
On February 20, 1992, the First Division (the premier league from 1888 until 1992) clubs decided to secede from the English Football League, which led to the creation of the FA Premier League. However, teams participating in this competition might still be promoted from and demoted to the EFL Championship.
With a potential TV audience of 4.7 billion people due to its partnership with Sky Sports, BBC Sport, TNT Sports, and Amazon Prime Video, the Premier League is the most-watched sports league in the entire world, which is seen and enjoyed in 212 territories across 643 million homes.
