The British rock band The Rolling Stone is getting ready to launch a new studio album named “Hackney Diamonds”. This is their first album with new songs since their famous “A Bigger Bang” album released in 2005.
The remaining members of the band, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, are now in their 70s and 80s and gave a sneak peek of the new music on the internet and in the local newspaper called the Hackney Gazette.
The popular rock band also declared that “Hackney Diamonds” will be available for people to listen to worldwide on September 6 at 7 pm IST. The band members will have a chat about their new album with the American talk host Jimmy Fallon in Hackney, East London, on Wednesday.
Rolling Stones LIVE with Jimmy Fallon
In the one-minute video, Jimmy Fallon is seen relaxing on a sofa, playing The Rolling Stones’ music from a vinyl record. Then, he gets a special call on the “Stones phone” with the band’s famous logo. Someone from the band speaks through the phone, telling the Tonight Show host about their upcoming live-streamed event.
The reveal of “Hackney Diamonds” comes after a mysterious teaser campaign. The band’s famous mouth and tongue logo was shown on the front of important buildings in various big cities like New York, London, and Paris.
The Rolling Stones recently hinted at a new song, thought to be called “Don’t Get Angry With Me,” on the website dontgetangrywithme.com. When you try to listen to the song on this website, it intentionally shows an error message and does not play the track.

More about “Hackney Diamonds”
Last year, Richards shared with Rolling Stone that the upcoming project from the band would have the last recordings made by their longtime drummer, Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021. He also mentioned that Steve Jordon, who had temporarily replaced Charlie Watts in live performances, was playing in other parts of the projects.
Before this, the Stones surprised everyone by releasing a song called “Living on a Ghost Town” in April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jagger later explained that the pandemic had caused delays in completing a full album.
Hackney Diamonds, the album might include a special appearance by Paul McCartney, but there is not enough evidence to confirm reports that Ringo Starr was also present during the recording sessions.
The Rolling Stones went on a European tour last summer to mark their 60th anniversary, and with a new album on the way, they do not seem to be stopping anytime soon. Even though Richards and Wood are in their late 70s, and Jagger turned 80 in July, they are not slowing down.

The Rolling Stones
“Aftermath” is often seen as their most important early album because it was the first one where all the songs were their own creations. In 1967, they had a successful double-sided hit with “Ruby Tuesday”/”Let’s Spend the Night” and dabbled in psychedelic rock with “Their Satanic Majesties Request.”
Towards the end of the 1960s, they returned to their rhythm and blues-based rock style, scoring hits with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Honky Tonk Women.” They also released albums like “Beggars Banquet,” which had sings like “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Street Fighting Man,” and “Let It Bleed,” which featured tracks like “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Gimme Shelter.”
Jones left the band not long before he passed away in 1969, and he was replaced by guitarist Mick Taylor. In that same year, they were introduced on stage as “The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World” for the first time.
