He had been through a lot, and being given freedom at this point in life was not what he was looking forward to. He still has things he has to learn, and for that very thing, his new friends have been helping him.
Jon didn’t grow up in a healthy environment, and given his roots, he had to go through a lot to get where he is now. But that, too, was a harsh journey, and along the way, he encountered many fears that made him bound to his insecurities. He even hid in Volcano for the longest time.
Superman from Prime Earth and others were able to help him get better and gave him the strength to push past his fears. However, to completely grow out of them, he must first deal with threats by himself. Sadly for him, his first threat turned out to be Ultraman, who doesn’t know how to hold back.

Adventures of Superman Jon Kent Issue 2 started with Jon going on a monologue about being caged in the volcano. But at the same time, he was afraid to go out of it and face the world by himself. Superman came along and helped him out of place, but he has yet to learn where he is headed.
When they got to Superman’s fortress of solitude, he was shocked that he would be making a trip to another universe. He won’t be alone, though, as Red Tornado and others will be coming along with him. Giving him the consolation he needs to get to that place; it isn’t revealed to the reader yet what that place is.
The moment they enter a new universe, their first task is to contact Ultraman and establish contact with him. It didn’t take long since he came to them, but he was in no mood to chat with them. He tore Red Tornado sending Jon into an angry fit. However, Jon’s punches didn’t do much. And he is almost beaten until an irregular anomaly shows up.

Adventures of Superman Jon Kent Issue 3 will be a father-son moment as Superman from Injustice universe is saddened by the sight of his would-be son. In another reality, Jon would have been his son, but Superman of this world never gets to retain his original self. He is the dictator of this world who would not stop at anything to maintain his justice.
And in the Injustice universe, Batman is the public enemy number 1 who wants to end the tyrannic reign of Superman. But with no means of what is happening around him, Jon is confused as to why two supposed friends are at each other’s throats—trying to be the mediator between the two and failing to stop either of them.
Jon will soon learn the history of this world and will be forced to make a realization as to what he will be doing. Will he let this world be or make his way back home with his friends? Given his moral compass, he will stay behind to stop the matter between the two.
