Adrian Grenier’s departure from Hollywood signals a profound shift in his career trajectory. Instead of pursuing the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry, Grenier has embraced a new role that diverges significantly from his previous endeavors.
“I was flying high for many years, two decades in Hollywood and growing up in New York, but I live a much more grounded life now,” Grenier, 47, said of why he decided to leave California for Texas during a Friday, February 9 interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna. “I decided I was going to live closer to nature and to commit to my wife and have a family and have a child, which I’m so excited about.”
Last June, Adrian Grenier, known for his role in Entourage, embraced fatherhood as he and his wife Jordan Roemmele welcomed a baby boy. Grenier expressed that becoming a father has surpassed any previous job he’s had, emphasizing the profound joy and fulfillment it brings him.
“I don’t know if my body can contain the love [I have for my son,]” he gushed. “It’s so expansive. I feel like I’m going to burst. I’m just so in love with this kid. He’s just absolutely beautiful and I’m so proud of him already and all he does is poop.”
While promoting Blueland, the eco-friendly cleaning company he invested in, Adrian Grenier shared insights into his departure from Hollywood. Unlike some actors who may regret leaving Tinseltown, Grenier expressed contentment with his decision. He values the slower pace of his current lifestyle, emphasizing its benefits for both his family and their mental well-being.
“I did a lot of growth, but I spent a lot of time in nature. Nature [is] connection. If you can’t connect, you can’t care,” he explained. “There’s so much to learn about how we work as human beings, because we emergent from nature – we come from nature. So, if we listen to nature, nature will tell us how to be more in more harmony.”
“There’s a lot of mental health challenges in our world and I think it’s our disconnect from the earth [that worsens it].”
Currently, Adrian Grenier relishes the freedom to spend ample time outdoors, a luxury he encourages for his son as well. He shared a heartwarming moment when his wife, Jordan Roemmele, sent him a photo of their son happily playing in the dirt, highlighting their commitment to fostering a connection with nature.
Even though Adrian Grenier no longer resides in California, it doesn’t signal the end of his acting career or promotional activities. However, he approaches these endeavors with greater caution, prioritizing projects that align with his values and are worthy of his son’s admiration. Grenier emphasized his commitment to roles that reflect his dharma, ensuring his son will always be proud of his father’s work.
