Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson are enjoying a well-deserved vacation in the Maldives. The couple shared their holiday experience at the luxurious five-star resort, Soneva Jani, on December 31. Aaron, 34, posted a collection of photos on Instagram, calling it a “little break in Paradise.” One of the highlights was a shirtless photo showcasing his impressive abs, which were also featured in his recent film Kraven the Hunter. Another photo captured him enjoying scuba-diving during their tropical getaway.
Sam, 57, also shared moments from their Maldives trip. Her post echoed Aaron’s, with a caption reflecting on her adventurous experiences, including facing fear and learning how to dive. She described swimming with sharks and even spotting Nemo during their underwater adventure, marking the perfect way to end 2024.
Aaron’s muscular physique was a topic of conversation earlier this year during the promotion of Kraven the Hunter. His co-star Ariana DeBose praised his real abs, confirming they were not part of any costume padding. At the Academy Museum Gala in October, she humorously remarked on Aaron’s physicality but also emphasized his talent and kindness. “He’s a spectacular human and a very good actor,” she said, recognizing him beyond just his appearance.
Aaron and Sam’s relationship dates back to 2008, and they became engaged in 2009. The couple married in 2012 and are parents to two daughters, Wylda Rae and Romy Hero. Sam also has two daughters, Angelica and Jessie Phoenix, from her previous marriage. While the couple frequently shares glimpses of their professional lives, they prefer to keep their children out of the public eye. As Aaron told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019, they maintain a private life away from the media.
Their family vacation photos do not include their children, a decision the couple has made to protect their privacy. As Aaron explained, they “live behind walls,” ensuring their personal moments are kept away from the spotlight. Their children remain shielded from social media and press attention, a choice they’ve maintained for years.
The year 2024 was busy for both Aaron and Sam. Sam directed the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black, which was released in May. Aaron, on the other hand, had a standout year, starring in three major films: The Fall Guy, Nosferatu, and Kraven the Hunter. He also wrapped filming for 28 Years Later, which is set to premiere in June 2025.
