The upcoming A Sign of Affection is based on the manga of the same name which is written and illustrated by Suu Moritshita. The manga began its publication in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2019. The latest noted volume of the series is the 10th which was released in December of 2023.
The anime adaptation of the series was announced in July of 2023. The anime will be produced by Ajia-do Animation Works whose recent work was on the amazing Revenger released in 2023. Whereas, the anime is going to be directed by Yuta Murano who is famous for his works on 7 Days War (2019), How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord (2018), and Dream Festival (2016).
The team behind the production of the anime looks promising and while we are not expecting a top-notch animation, a decent anime adaptation is expected with its own unique art style. Considering the genre of the anime, we can expect the anime to be seasonal and run for a total of 12 episodes during its first course of the season.
The plot of the anime is where things have escalated and fans are looking forward to seeing the adaptation. We will follow a deaf college girl named Yuki, whose life is like a normal girl, and when she meets Itusumoi a fellow classmate, her life will change as the latter isn’t bothered by her lack of hearing at all. A Sign of Affection will thus begin with Yuki and Itusumoi.

A Sign of Affection Episode 1 will be released on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at 22:30 hrs Japanese Standard Time. Following are the various times for the same;
