A fresh Elden Ring manga is in the works, this time aiming to tickle funny bones with a focus on the game’s memorable NPCs. Back in late 2022, Elden Ring got its own manga adaptation, and now, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced a new manga titled Elden Ring Distant Stories from The Lands Between.
In contrast to the serious tone of the video game, this manga will adopt a humorous approach, highlighting the game’s diverse NPCs. The first installment will explore the story of Roderika, a character players meet early in the game.
Haruichi, renowned for their work on Star Wars: Visions and Leia Organa: Ordeal of the Princess, is both writing and illustrating this new manga. The previous manga adaptation, Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree, was helmed by Nikiichi Tobita (A Cursed Sword’s Daily Life) and hit shelves in September 2022.
Haruichi’s creation is slated to debut soon on Kadokawa’s Comic Hu manga website, although there’s no news yet on an English version.
While the Elden Ring community eagerly awaits the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC next Friday, it seems many players haven’t yet vanquished the necessary boss, based on Steam achievement statistics.
Don’t worry, though—there’s still time to prepare! Whether you choose to tackle it now or later is entirely up to you.
