The drama tells the story of high school teacher Han Hae Na, who is cute and bubbly by nature but has a secret hidden. Due to a curse on her family’s females from ages ago, she has a secret that if she kisses any boy, she will turn into a dog every midnight, and to lift the curse, that same boy must kiss her in her dog form.
Because of the curse, Hae Na never experienced having a perfect dating life. But not until a new handsome teacher, Seo Won, enters her life. One night. Hae Na ends up kissing Seo Won, and her curse starts taking its action. However, Seo Won was unaware of Hae Na’s transformation into a dog.
Now, Hae Na who is tired of daily transformation is tasked to get Seo Won to kiss her at midnight when she turns into a dog. But the grave problem in doing so is that Seo Won has a fear of dogs. How will Hae Na manage to break her curse and, at the same time, win over her crush Seo Won?

Previously in A Good Day to be a Dog Hae Na and Seo Won’s love will be put to test again when Bo Gyeom is confronted with his past life. It was revealed that Hae Na, Seo Won, Bo Gyeom and Min Jin Ha all share the same past and their unrequited love brought misfortune to their life.
In the past, Seo Won was Soo Hyun, who was a warrior whereas Hae Na was Mak Soon his lover. Seo Won made a promise to Mak Soon that he would always protect him. Suddenly, Bo Gyeom recalls it was Seo Won in the past who struck a sword at his wife Cho Young killing both her and their expected baby.
In the present, Bo Gyeom points the sword at Seo Won with the determination to take revenge for killing his lover. But Seo Won ignores it saying he is just playing with a toy. However, Bo Gyeom makes sure to bring these together only to tear them apart just as Seo Won separated him from his love.
Hae Na and Seo Won, on the other hand, go on a date on their off day. Seo Won talks to Hae Na about the strange behaviour of Bo Gyoem which Hae Na ignores saying he is just like that sometimes. Suddenly, Hae Na realizes that dogs are avoided after the curse has been lifted.
The next day Hae Na falls seriously sick because of the talisman given by Bo Gyeom. But she despite her illness gets up to go for their amusement park date. She is adamant about going on a date seeing her sister plans to call Seo Won at home so that they spend time together.
However, just like in the past, Soo-Hyun would keep accompanying Mak-Soon. In this present life, Seo Won accompanies Hae Na and looks after her when she struggles with fever. The chemistry and romance between the couple are rising, but they are unaware of the potential danger looming over them.
