Halle Lynn Bailey is an American actress and singer-songwriter. Her sister Chloe Bailey her formed the musical combo Chloe x Halle, which is how she first gained recognition. Together, they have received five Grammy Award nominations for their albums, The Kids Are Alright and Ungodly Hour.

March 2022
After months of rumours, the YouTuber used social media to officially announce their romance. The socialite celebrated Bailey’s birthday by sending her a heartfelt message on Instagram. “Happy birthday to the most adorable, charming, and fly person I’ve ever met.
He posted a series of now-deleted pictures showing the couple kissing, standing by a mirror, and exchanging expensive gifts with the remark, “Love you forever.” The Little Mermaid actress commented on the post, saying, “You’re going to make me cry again.”
June 2022
At the 2022 BET Awards, the duo debuted on the red carpet. The couple, dressed in matching black, came holding hands and posed for photos. Halle was seen reaching out for DDG’s hand in a BET video as if she were inviting him to take a couple of pictures with her.
November 2022
Bailey discussed the development of her and DDG’s friendship in an interview with Essence. The cover from August said, “I’ve been a longtime fan of his.” Growing up, I would frequently watch young Black producers on YouTube and was always inspired by them. He belonged to that group.
She continued by saying that even though she had watched his videos in 2015, years had passed and she had forgotten about him.

In December, Bailey and DDG went to the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water. Together, they walked the red carpet and smiled for the cameras.
February 2023
When DDG’s ex-girlfriend Rubi Rose subtweeted him in February, accusing Halle of dressing in her old outfits, the couple found themselves in hot water. She wrote, “Having ur bitch where my clothes are crazy lol,” in response to Halle’s sighting wearing a shirt that resembled one that Rubi wore in 2020.
“I like Halle, Ddg a weirdo tho fasho,” the “I Like” MC went on to say. She went on to criticize her ex, saying that he was disappointed that she didn’t accompany him home from the party. He answered, “Super Niggas not pressed over you.”
After a considerable amount of back-and-forth, Rose eventually posted screenshots of recent direct message interactions between herself and DDG. In one screenshot, DDG replied to Rubi, “U still in LA.” Rubi said, “U hitting me the day y’all argue is so u lol,” to which DDG replied, “lol right,” capping their brief exchange. The Michigan native faced criticism for admitting that he was uneasy about Halle’s global celebrity. In a song titled “Famous,” the rapper expressed his jealousy over Halle’s well-known portrayal of Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
