However, overlapping narration reveals that if the blood parasite “goes crazy,” it will kill the mage with the suffering it will bring. Back at Jinyowon, Gyeong is talking about this and seems to reveal that songbirds are the cure to the deadly insects.

Recap Of Alchemy of Souls S2 Episode 6
Master Lee expresses anxiety when told that Bu is recovering her divine abilities and murmurs that this will imply Naksu “fetches her former recollections and will ultimately be discarded by that body.”
When his companion shows him her recently obtained Songrim spirit sign, Jang recounts fond memories of learning from Naksu.
However, the mood quickly shifts. This is due to Bu’s startling similarity to his old master, both in words and actions, which has left Jang Uk uncertain of what he desires from her. Jin asks that Soi be placed in charge of the importation of goods, as Bu promises to assist Jang Uk and discover her true identity.
Jin is enraged that Yun-o permitted a well of earthenware to be thrown away. However, the swindler is already on her way out of Daeho with Seo Yul’s assistance, so it might be a challenging assignment.
The servant girls Kim and Jin converse humorously about priorities simultaneously, opening the door to a touching message about protecting people who are important to them. Bu informs Danshe that she wants to visit Danhyanggok to view the “huge tree” in her recollections, while Seo resolutely destroys his bird whistle souvenir, looking ready to meet Naksu.
By chance, Yul hears the last of this conversation, and they offer to accompany the priestess on her journey. Later, a reflective Jang departs on this journey, but with a hint of jealousy, considering that his companion is eagerly traveling to Danhyanggok with Yul.
After having intense daydreams about murdering Bu, Seo Yul makes amends with Heo, wishing him well and assuring him that there are no unresolved issues with his prior assignment at Seoho Castle, and then he departs for Danhyanggok.
In another scene, a mysteriously reappearing Soi is apprehended by Cheonbugwan wizards while on her way to see if Yul, the man she claims allowed her to see a “clear and brilliant” world, has left for Jinyowon. Yeom-so then brutalizes the con artist to get her to confess to extracting the blood infection from her blood.
After learning of this, Seo Yul alters his intentions and heads to So-gaming’s establishment. Bu tells Jang about Yul’s blood infection in the meantime, and she also lets Jang know about her mate’s illness. To save Soi from Jin’s threat, Yul dramatically enters the gambling den and starts to battle the Cheonbugwan magicians filling the space there.
It’s riveting material, but things rapidly turn sour for the genius wizard when his deteriorating health finally catches up with him. Yeom-Su unintentionally learns where the blood parasite is. When Yeom uses an umbrella to stab Soi, she pushes him aside and prepares to strike Yul again.
Although it hurts him, the hero can momentarily neutralize the danger, allowing him to visit the battered conman. As Soi appears to die away, she grins and thinks about how grateful she is to have seen Seo Yul again.
After this, Yul appears to be at a point of no return against the threat posed by Yeom and the company. That is until Jang UK arrives and uses his abilities to neutralize the threat to his close friend immediately. Uk is seen vowing revenge on the feud between Seo and the fallen Seo: “Not one person would be able to leave her alive.”
