Matt Ryan is an American footballer famously known as Matty Ice played the position of quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League. Frank Reich, coach of Indianapolis announced that Matt Ryan was not going to play for a while, which was very sad for his fans who waited to see him playing on the field, but he was benched for the whole season.
Everyone left without seeing Matt Ryan on the field at Nashville at Nissan Stadium, and people could see his disappointed face. He was benched throughout the whole match, and the excitement and intensity to just go and play outside can be seen on his face.
Sam Ehlinger is going to take Matt’s position for the whole season while the rest of the world thought that he’d been benched because of his shoulder dislocation, but Coach Reich said that he was going to remove Ryan either way.
Will Ryan’s career come to an end in this scene? A veteran who has been with the team for 15 years and has the seventh most passing yards in NFL history sitting in a losing locker room with an aching shoulder? Colt has recently changed its game strategies, and Matt’s playing style was not fitting into their new game plan. Although it has been proving beneficial for the team, Matt is struggling with his game.
But their game plan was not very successful; the other team outplayed them, so removing Matt from the quarterback position did not do the magic trick that Colt was expecting. Colt is ready to play out his new cards so that they can perform much better in the future.
After trading for Ryan, the Colts changed Ryan’s contract. As a result, some of his guaranteed funds were transferred to the deal’s final year, 2023. If the Colts decide to part ways with Ryan at the end of this season, they would be responsible for $18 million in salary cap money.
In 2023, Ryan is expected to receive a base salary of $21.7 million, whether he stays on the roster or is traded. Additionally, he will receive a $7.5 million roster bonus in March, giving the Colts some sort of deadline to decide his future.
Matt Ryan, who was a shining star once in his team, is now not even playing with his mate is very disheartening for the people, and fans want him to return to the fields, but there’s no recent news about his comeback.
People have been sending him their support on various social media platforms and encouraging him for his future. Sadly, he was kicked out from his team after his injury, and his company made it official that he was not playing anymore because of his injury.
He didn’t even receive his full paycheck, and he’s missing out on his prime age to play in the field. All the fans are expecting him to change the team and come back with a new and fresh mindset and new game plan on the field. We hope we see him again.
