Leah was helping an old man come back to society, but it turns out she was being manipulated by one of the demon lords. He had psychologically tortured her and was preparing to dine on her, literally.
The panels from the manga are horrifying as Leah goes through stages from innocent to horrified and hopeless as the demon lord tortures her family. It is moments like these that make the manga unique and great, as horror is one of the genres that haven’t been done well for a while. But Leah might have some hope after all as the members invaded Demon’s domain and are about to save her. Now, if only manga hadn’t gone on a two-week Hiatus, it wouldn’t have felt like a cliffhanger…
