Ling Jian Zun, Whose English Name translates to Spirit Sword Sovereign is Donghua (Chinese anime) based on the Manhwa by the same name. It revolves around Chu Xing Yun, son of Chu Xing Xing. Chu Xing Yun has amazing cultivation speed and becomes one of the most powerful people in the series as the story progresses.
Ling Jian Zun was aired for the first time on January 15th, 2019. With Almost 5 seasons and 318 episodes, it has gained immense attention from viewers all over the world. Each episode lasts for a total of 10 minutes and is filled with action, adventure, and romance.
The novel as well became one of the most-read Manhwas, which led to its adaptation in the first place. Currently, the novel/manga has been completed, which means that the series will end soon too. Spirit Sword Sovereign: The Story so far
The story begins with an adult Chu Xing Yun finding himself reincarnated into his previous 16-year-old body without any of the powers or skills he has gained over the years. He remembers what led to this, which shows that one of the families of the empire attacked him, causing him to die. But Chu Xing Yun is reincarnated as he had the Reincarnation stone.
He sets out to take revenge while also becoming powerful to avoid history repeating itself. When he was being attacked in the past, The youngest Daughter of the Shui Family, Liu Xiang, heals him before he is ultimately killed. When he goes back in the past, he marries her, and The Shui elders agree but find it offensive. Liu Xiang Remains with the protagonist throughout the series, although one of the genres is Harem, and many more women marry Chu Xing Yun in different timelines.
Now Back in the past all weak and back to square one, Chu Xing Yun trains hard and meditates every day, using the grimoire. He avenges his and his friends’ deaths and reaches a position of power.
Spirit Sword Sovereign Season 5 Episode 117: Recap
The 117th episode was released on Friday, September 23rd, 2022. It showed the Four powerful Leaders discussing Chu Xing Yun, who is called “Luo Yun” now. The Four Patriarchs are corrupt and immoral groups of leaders. They cause many hardships to the poor of the city and have unjust rules.
While discussing their evil plans, one of the subordinates arrives with an announcement and invitation. Luo Yun had invited all the citizens, regardless of power or position to attend his lecture. The leaders take it as a humiliating joke but think that this lecture will lead to Luo Yun’s status decreasing.
A letter is also sent to the Four Patriarchs, Inviting them to discuss the division of power between all the dynasties. It Takes place in Fengliuju.
On the other hand, Luo Yun shows up in the city of the four rulers. A Fruit-seller offers him fruit for free, which puzzles Luo Yun. He asks why he won’t take any money. The man informs that the four ruling families do not allow men of low status like him to sell or trade. Doing so has been forbidden there for a long time.
This makes Luo Yun decide to overthrow or kill the four unjust and vile leaders.
