Trailer Breakdown
Through the conversation, the smallest of the three kids confirms that the family is planning to move to Houston. He curiously asks if there are other black people living in the city or if will it just be them. To this, Brenda has a very savage response, and she lists some of the very famous black artists of her time who live in the city. This confuses the kid as he clearly does not know any of them because of his age. Later, the family stops to rest at a motel in New Mexico. While eating food, the youngest child asks Brenda if they are homeless people. To this, she replies that as long as the four of them stick together, they will never be homeless.
