Barry Season 3 Episode 4 was probably the biggest step into the main plot of the show this season. Apart from that, it also sowed seeds for what’s about to come further with Fuches’ return. For a while now, Barry spent time trying to figure out a way to achieve forgiveness or love. For that, he used Cousineau who was pretty furious with him for killing his girlfriend.
So, although Barry wanted to be good to him to earn that forgiveness, he was forcing his way out. This saw him taking Cousineau hostage and having him sign up for an acting gig with him. Only for Cousineau to lose his mind in a scene that somehow relates to their current situation. Although Cousineau left, the fourth episode of Barry Season 3 saw Barry receiving a job from one of his former friends NoHo Hank.

Meanwhile, Cousineau was preparing to leave L.A. with his son and grandson. Until Tom knocked on his door questioning Cousineau about his stunt on the set of Laws Of Humanity. The creators of the show were pretty impressed with Cousineau’s skills and wanted to extend his role further into the show.

Amidst all of this, Hank hired Barry for a job again. All Barry had to do was plant a bomb under the Bolivians’ Airbnb. He has to detonate the bomb at 5 pm during their mid-day meeting when Cristobal is away for his pilates.

Barry Season 3 Episode 4 Review
Barry Season 3 Episode 4 served as the fall of Barry. For the past few episodes, Barry felt the need for forgiveness and love. But in order to achieve those things, he forced his way out. After the mishap at the monastery shooting, Barry found himself all alone doing petty jobs.
One thing that stuck in Barry’s mind was what Hank told him about forgiveness. Something he needs to earn. This saw him going all out in order to do that. He got a chance to fix things with Cousineau but he forced him to take his help when Cousineau didn’t want it. Furthermore, at times he poured out his frustration on Sally and took her for granted.
The past episodes were kind of a built-up to this moment where Barry came to realize his mistakes. But it was too late. At this point, whatever he had is lost as well. Barry has lost his friends and now even his love Sally. On top of that, things are about to get tougher for him with Fuches encouraging the relatives of Barry’s victims to hunt him down.
Certainly, the fourth episode of Barry Season 3 is the biggest development this season. Apart from taking stories ahead, the episode was also the funniest. Especially the part where Barry tries to use the detonation app but fails miserably. Luckily he managed to save Cristobal, or things would have turned worse between him and Hank.
