Apart from these protagonists the spotlight is also drawn to Park Gye Won, played by Jang Hyuk (Wok of Love). The story opens with a scene of utter chaos and destruction. There is an ongoing rebellion with wars being waged everywhere. The monarchy has collapsed and there is pure confusion. Just when it seems like the people of Joseon are doomed with no hope left and no direction to follow. Lee Tae who is the eldest legitimate son of King Sunjong ascends to the throne. This does not come easy to him and he achieves it with the help of his trusted general- Park Gye Won. What is the price he will have to pay for this prize? or rather, What is the weight of the crown that Lee Tae has decided to bear?
Life in the palace is never easy and the millions of history-based K-dramas have aptly represented that before. What will be the outcome if an inexperienced individual with nothing more than an ambition rises to power? How is he different from his people? The first episode of this historical fiction Bloody Heart will release on 2nd May 2022. The network plans to release two enchanting episodes every week. Hence, fans can expect new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays respectively. Every episode is loaded with intense drama and a heavy storyline.
